Yeah, so what's this FireSokker? or NTDB for that matter...
Yeah, so what's this FireSokker?
FireSokker is a FireFox ad-on/extension I believe. There's a thread in sokker international on it, or go directly to where you can download it from the NT page in the media releases.

Found, and installed, a little while ago... updated young Royce in the DB.
yep saw that a minute ago, it went through fine.
Well our qualification campaign begins tomorrow. I'll discuss more about things tomorrow, but hopefully we can cause a surprise and walk out the door with the 3 points. I strongly doubt we're able to physically beat them player for player so it's going to require smart tactical decisions to have any realistic chance of beating them. With them changing manager it makes deciding how they are going to play a bit more difficult. Sure langhe managed Indonesia against us a few seasons ago but with a stronger squad I'd be quite surprised if similar tactics were played. I can't promise much more other than to know I'll be trying to grab something from this game.
Unfortunately Hirons is out but otherwise most of our senior squad is available for selection.

Your player does not meet any requirements :(````
Sometimes the message also pops up when the player really does fit requirements as the way I understand the database is it is relatively harsh on players that do not have high primaries (due to how the ranking system is).
So you may have a guy with fantastic secondaries that just needs say defender training, but the def doesn't hit the minimum requirement even though you wil be training that the next 3 seasons.
If you want to see how far behind your guy is (and whether he doies actually stand a chance) work out his ranking manually and see if he is really a lot of skills behind those in the "Dreamteam" list. It may also be worth setting the number of players to like 44, so that you see I think the top 8 or 10 of that age, and you can see how far behind he really is

I did what you suggested and my players are in there as the 3rd best 19 yr old keeper and 9th best 19 yr old striker in Australia :)
haha nice one.
Because of the formula too (as opposed to the one cometer and I used in the rankings), you can get players in there...especially in striker, that aren't actually a striker, but because of their high tech and pace levels they "appear" to be one

Yeah I'm still tweaking things a bit. U21's needs to have a higher age factor %, along with tolerance %.
If you have a player that apparently gets thrown back but they've got a reasonable chance let either myself or Tigermaster know and we'll try to adjust the requirements back a bit.
Currently, if you don't pass the primary skill you don't get allowed, even if you're only 1 skill short (unless there's an age factor % there). Tolerance considers the secondaries so you can be short in secondaries and still get in depending on what the tolerance setting is.

We're set to take on Belgie. Looks like Ando has to wait yet another week for his 100th, hasn't completely healed in time. Belgie could pretty much do anything here, they've got a new manager (who's managed Indonesia in the past) so anything previous is almost worthless to watch. I'd be highly surprised if they didn't mark our wing and didn't use a winger themselves. Langhe knows the skills of Willis and I'd strongly doubt he'd be willing to leave him unmarked. That in itself likely means it will be a back 5 defense or a massive press.
Seriously not expecting any points from this match and isn't in my must gain points list. Still if we have any ambitions of improving as a team and competing (not just making up numbers) in the world cup we need to start to challenge these kind of sides, so I've treated this as I always have in the sense the aim is to win and to create chances. Don't see the need in slapping 10 in the goalbox hoping they won't score because they will almost certainly score at least once.
Realistically expecting to go down but we'll see how we go. In a few minutes I'll post up some preview stuff. Late ideas welcome but I think I'm just about convinced with the tactic we've got.

2006-07-22 Belgie - Australia 2:0 (1sts)
Obviously we've never beaten Belgie, we've played them twice. They've got so many more users it's not funny. We've also never scored against them. They've also qualified for all 5 world cups, having a record in qualification matches of 45-3-2 which further adds to suggest we're not looking in a very good position to take the win. I guess an optimistic view of this is that they are well overdue to lose and it's time for us to score ;). We haven't played them since 2006 and we've been on the rise throughout 2007-2008 except in numbers. Hopefully these statistics don't have any involvement on the game before us.

Think that was a little harsh. They were the better side but you'd expect that, it's impossible to be better than them when you've got 1700 users less than them.
Still think their 2nd,3rd and 5th goals were disgraceful. No way should Kohler have fouled in the box in a fumble off our own defender. Then a strange and bizarre sideways pass from Nikas to their winger (have no idea what they're thinking). Then the 5th goal they scored was extremely fortunate to somehow find the gap between 5 players to fumble it's way into Deroo.
Take those 3 stupid things aside and it's a 1 goal game.
I'm not even going to go into the chances we had :p.
Was extremely satisfied up until about the 60th minute when they piled on 5 goals in the space of 30min, most of them from strange situations that shouldn't happen.

kinda strange to see the defenders crowd each other out in the penalty box and the striker ends up with the ball :(
