Asunto: National Team

My whole squad was bought with $884k so I will respectfully disagree. :)

Try getting an entire squad for 884k which averages more than 50 on average ratings ;).
2009-06-14 15:32:29
you cant even get a single player that averages 50 on 884k nowadays
2009-06-14 15:54:30
that was the point I was getting at ;).

Could pick up some top quality U20 talents for 12mil (and possibly more in the kitty). The Llamas are not exactly spring chickens. Could be time for some new blood.
2009-06-14 16:32:40
well yeah, you can get some decent talents with the cash but you can't get a complete side with it, just the nucleus of a good side that requires effective training ;).

Although, even decent juniors are selling for heaps these days.

On that note, good one picking up Erdogan.
2009-06-14 16:38:53
set me back a bit though. Will be worth it in a season or two though :).

Who said anything about 50? You can get out of div III averaging high 30's/low 40's.

BTW Cometer... Isn't it about time you wrote a new article for your club page? Very confusing!

You could buy Willis...and that would be enough to win the league. ;)

Amazing game of him, again...if you have spare time, check my todays game. Great midfield work, both in defence and offence.

I suppose... just because the majority of my players aren't young doesn't mean they aren't any good :D

Well, actually they're all rubbish, but I only log in here once a week any way so I'm not really serious. The only thing I focus on is training Beauchamp for the NT... which is why I'm annoyed he's been injured so often this season.

Now I have a rather large, fully seater, fully covered stadium, I'm going to use my cash to eventually pick up new players for the side. I've got quite a few excellent+ trainees coming through so hopefully I can use some of those.

If you're that kind to the NT and not too serious about the game, would you consider training GK for us because there will be a serious shortage after Papaluca gradutates at the end of this season...

It is valid for anybody as well, now we lost TGS we really need someone to train GK for the future of the NTs.

Getting out of III and surviving in II wasn't exactly what I meant by a div II standard side ;). I kind of have 2 different interpretations, a div II standard side should be the higher end of II based on say the top 10-15% of teams. Sure 40's pass at II so perhaps I was a little incorrect with my choice of words (happens frequently).
2009-06-15 10:32:43
885k gets you in II...
885k leads you nowhere in II...
:)

For sure, well you'll save a packet if you sell off anyone who doesn't play. Cut it down to a playing group and then add a couple of top notch trainees... then you have yourself a training programme and a recipe for success. :D

But you'll save big big dollars just by culling some of the guys who never play yet still take home a salary. Shouldn't take too long either.

The poor guy is in III ;) Getting to II would be a great outcome I reckon!
