Asunto: National Team
Thanks, though last time against SA it was 15:1 in shots, so...I'm disappointed :P. You used a good tactic for the new engine though, extremely hard to get through...I guess it's easier to go all-defensive in the new engine
btw. it was hilarious that your striker dribbled superdivine defenders in form all the time, up front :p

Yeah, I'm really looking for some good tactical moves in this ME, it worked out quite well. My striker has superdivine technique btw, so imo no surprise against your uberweak defenders :p

of course it's boring when you both play 5 defenders. What else do you expect?
I didn't want to risk losing and since we had no wigner ready for the game I was afraid that even if we use 4 midfielders, we might not have too many situations so I decided that 0 at the back is the priority...

Understand entirely but when both decide they don't want to risk losing why would you be surprised the game was "boring"? As I am myself a defensive tactician, I know entirely where you are coming from but then again I suddenly don't expect to get anything but a boring match. It's a logical step, if both teams play negatively you end up with a negative spectacle.
It's pretty much the same thing in reality too. Games are boring when both decide that they'd rather not lose then take a risk to win.
Rugbys a classic case of that. Watch 2 northern hemisphere sides (excluding Wales) take on each other and it's pretty much a kick fest. To some extent the Wallabies are doing the same thing.
Whilst the M.E is far from perfect it's at least making 5 def tactics require some thinking.

Oh, I wasn't really surprised that it was boring, but the extent of boredom was truly amazing :p
Cometer, since you were the first one to demand it :p, would you like to be the host in the nearest game of Australia?
I ask, because your maintenance is only 65% at the moment and you're playing your next league game at home, so your pitch might be quity devastated :p.
Minkee has 100% and plays his game away, so maybe it'd be better to choose his stadium for the nearest NT game.

I'm easy. Maintenance is dirt cheap to put to 100% anyway, I just don't bother until it gets to 50% because its cheapest that way. I think my actual pitch conditions are fine.
That being said Minkees does have an all seater stadium :P.

Well if your pitch improves to 70%, then it will still be about ~35-40% in the league game and this could to injuries in your game. Next week you play an away game, so maybe then it's better for the NT to visit your stadium :)

False. My pitch condition is 100%. Maintenance only impacts how fast pitch condition recovers. Pitch condition determines injuries/bobbles etc :).
Edit: However, I'm not advocating anything, I'm happy to wait my turn :).

Knew as soon as we started with a 4-5-1 we were as good as gone and it played out that way. I've said it before, I'll say it again, under this current match engine 1 striker tactics are useless, so stop playing them.
On the flipside, if South Africa lose we still progress but 1 win from 3 games in a group where realistically we should have beaten all 3 is not a good return. We've only ever failed to get out of the group stage I believe once and well we're in a little bit of trouble now.
Well what do you propose, leaving tye wingers out of team? We had a lot of great breaithroughs, but all crosses were tragic...also barnes is sooo daaamn słów that you can't even hope that he will make it through the defence, even after through ball...and remember that we don't really have any other striker as good as him :/
And we grabbed quite an undeserved point eventually, so we kicked Australia out of the tournament. What a superb feeling. :p
Well we were the better team all 3 games and only won one...I think Bolivia managed to break through with the winger once and scored a goal, while Erdogan managed to be in a clear position to pass from the wing about...20? times and still we couldn't score from any of those...
