Asunto: National Team

Debatable. USA got completely outclassed by England, and for a long time they had more users than us, and I think, started at the same time.

But they have good players :-)

I disagree with you there aswell.

Other than Swinehart and Stokes, the USA team is fairly weak.

I'm expecting Canada to beat them later on.

That's more due to the strength at league level.

It's no coincidence that the core of the English side is from the prem teams, particularly my own, Forest Reserves and Pboranjing Utd. If the teams at league level are strong, then training will be better, and it is likely more money and attention will be spent on youths.

Well, that's a huge truth. This is the first season that the A-League is fully human, I think. And a majority of the users in all of the Australian leagues are under two seasons in age. We're quite some time away from being a top half side, but we have some existing talent that can be taken a long way.

Pretty good result, in my opinion.

The thing is, that Australia has bigger potential that the ranks give...USA which is 9th was beaten easily...

Yeh I was about to say, I think when I first started playing this, Aus were beating a fair few higher ranked teams.

Eesti 0 : 0 Australia (i know its not a win but its a draw against a higher ranked team)
USA 0 : 1 Australia
Australia 1 : 0 Danmark
México 0 : 1 Australia

and then there were some good results like a 2-0 loss to italy, 3-1 loss to Česká republika

I think with the right tactics we should definatly be a much higher team, even with our small numbers, i think its shown that we can be pretty high up.

Edit: After looking, i see we werent beating a fair few higher ranked teams but we were getting good results and not to many bad losses

The 2x 10-0 losses against England hurt your ranking points a lot.

That, and the previous managers, to be fair, were not very good, and the effects of them are still being felt now.

to be fair as well Denmark did use their 2nd string against us as well, and the 2 - 0 loss to italy was cause we were playing extremely defensive to get a draw , whereas yesterday we needed to win to have a chance so yeh, and eesti we went super defensive as well so that has a lot to do with it :) But yes we've got potential it's just about getting there now :)

true :) but still i was just saying you can't really compare narrower losses when they are totally different forms :). Ie against italy we had ando injured and we were trying to score to win the game where as the past 2 against italy we seemed to be trying to draw the game or minimize the damage. That was my point more so then trying to destroy the other argument.

We had no chance for beating Italy, but Sriram of course had to try it, that's understandable. The point is we had to get points against Sweden and France...France was just a unlucky match, but Sweden...:/
