It will be my first match as the coach of Australia. I want to win this match. After that game we will be in Mini world cup. Before the Mini World Cup start I want to update players actually skills. I see we have so many old players. I dont think their skills have changed in positiv way :) So i will focus on 22-26 years old players. For the future we need a database in this age group.

Advices and suggestions are welcome

First matches are always difficult. You dont know the coach of the opponent. how he plays , with winger or use two strikers.. So I considered all possibility and did my tactic, little risky with high defs. Actually I am very happy how we played and dominated that match ,had many goal chances, but if ME doent want. You cant do any thing. I must also say that our goal was also gift from ME.

It good you have one game under your belt now, but a 5 points rating advantage is pretty big, and that's without our best keeper playing for whatever reason.

Unfortunately for Australia to go anywhere we need to be winning all games we are favourites and get the odd upset. I hope that you end up joining the elite group of coaches we had for seniors (a group containing just 2 managers), but I think you will need to perform better than that.

As Australia was blessed with two find coaches for many seasons, we do have very high expectations, but I think the expectation to beat any side with a lower rating is not too high.

In saying that, there are a lot more random matches now since the new ME came out, and it is only one game. I do see your reasoning behind match selections, although probably wouldn't have gone the same way myself.

Good luck in the rest of the matches, and expect a lot of criticism throughout the campaign, but if you succeed, it will all be worth it.

Your actually was not a great debut. For me, if I may, you have been influenced by emotion for your debut.

First of all thank you very much. I will be always happy to read something after matches positive or negative. I agree with you , we should win that game. I have to perform better than this match.
On the other hand please I want to also read something about game. How we played, what we did wrong. what we should do better. I see the only critism about Gk choice. I think our keeper played well today. And Elrich will play surely in the future.
Although we didnt win the game , I have to say again I am happy how we played except our strikers.

8 shots by Vietnam and you're happy with the defence? There were games lately when much better Hrvatska made only 5 shots...

What i watched i am happy, yes:) I dont know if you watch the game.
number of shots dont tell me anything. half of them were from a distance and head shots. I am playing risky with high defs, and you know we have not specieal b skil defs. So we will give opponent some shots. I expected that already.

I do not know if you've seen, but there have been several special results .. especially in U21 .. Week where nothing is taken for granted, as always, of course ...

I dont know which Hrvatska match you mean And what is with that match to do i dont understand:)
If so I will remind you Italy-azerbaycan match then:)

the game against Azerbaycan was my only weak game since I took over Italy and I was very angry after it - the difference is that you are happy :P.

of course Australia isn't top-top NT, but still in a game against teams like Vietnam you should have a bigger domination on the field :)

I did :) If you should watch the match you would say that too. We played good today and dominated. Only we could score enough. But we should do better.
And I dont think Vietnam is a weak team. I guess better than Azerbaycan:) Look at their players who are on TA. They have now better coach.

dont forget el salvador and south africa against italy:)

South Africa was a very good game, the only problem was the finishing aspect - there were 5 posts and 2 bars :P

as for El Salvador, one user set the tactic and lineup for this game, not me - as a reward for winning a competition :P

Please you should defeat them with greg's standart tactics:) This mean sometimes it doenst work.

Dont misunderstand me, I am not happy with result. I had to win that game altoughtit is a friendy match. About what I am happy is we played well in def and midfield. This gives me hope for future.
