Hm....looks like Australia needs to train two forwards- one very, very quick and one very technique. And both have to have a nice shot.

yeh i was nervous there as well but another occasion he stopped a runaway Eesti player. A very strong performance there particularly murphy and broxton, can't complain with the result. :)

Anyway I was surprised in negative by Ishida's, Whitehouse's and Parkinson's play.
It's odd....Ishida has very, very good playmaking and he was loosing the ball all the time :|

Yeah for some reason all of our mids just kept holding onto it instead of passing it! Then another chance when Murphy had the ball there were 3 of our players ahead of him basically all open and he passed it sideways!

Yeah. And I liked one action of Pilic. He crosse almost all field with the ball and then passed it to Att. Just like in a real football ;)

Working on it with Amien. He's got allright technique but need more pace. Also needs a bit of stamina. Both on the list of things I will train to make him better.

I think he lost consentration as he thought of how he would celebrate the goal and how his hair should look to at the interviews after the match. ;)

There's a idea about playing nearest friendly with U-21 squad of nation.
Do you think Australia should play as well by U-21 squad?

From todays squad only these players wouldn't played:
Campbell
Faria
Foley
Ishida
Newhill
O'Donoghue
Whitehouse

Australia has good U-21 players so I think we should give them a chance! What do you think about it?

I don't think it's a good idea, because our squad is a lot different from the one we had earlier, and we still need to experiment with the lineups and tactics without it affecting WC qualification. So I think Australia should go into the friendlies looking to play the strongest team.

Hm...yeah that's a good argument. But I think that todays tactic was very good, we should change only att positions.
But in friendlies they can get injured and they won't play in qualifications then :S
So I think that better thing would be to play with youngsters.

Rather than setting an age limit I think you should use the friendlies to get more knowledge about the team and test things out.

If you are almost 100% certain of how to use a player in an upcomming qualifying game, set him out and give someone else the chance.

...as far as the NT friendlies are concerned, I think the priority atm is to get the NT (as it is) to the WC!!!

...why not use the NT friendlies to blood some fringe NT players who wouldn't normally get a run in the NT and see how they perform...
