Asunto: National Team

Hm...in my team only Ishida and Trzebicki give killer balls - they have incredible and outst. pm, and very good passing.
2006-06-04 18:25:36
Hm..I prefer high pm and passing a rush pass(?) to fast forward - Pawlusinski is smt like that. :)
2006-06-04 18:29:53
Very good is probably the highest passing you have, which is why they're the only ones to provide through balls.
2006-06-04 18:33:51
That's truth :). But it was said that it depends on pm how often will player make through balls. :)
2006-06-04 18:35:21
I meant killer balls, but it was only stated that the frequency was dependant on the PM, not the quality.
2006-06-04 18:36:34
Yes, of course. Accuracy depends still on passing, but my players get ideal balls from solid/v.good passes...

I'm with Sriram and Gibbage with this one. Passing is far better. A guy with vg+ passing is a great asset and almost all my mids have vg passing now even it means I have to sacrifice it for about weak-adequate pm.

Also borkos what you're trying to say is that passing is useless after a certain point (e.g solid/very good, which I definutely don't think it is considering I have VG passers) but PM would be more useless wouldn't it? what's the point in making a pass quicker if they make it before the defender gets to them anyway? Whereas passing is the accuracy which can always be improved (unless he's divine of course :P). Sure, PM could be improved but if they're quicker than every defender why bother?

what's the point in making a pass quicker if they make it before the defender gets to them anyway?

My team is concentrated in 100% in counterattacks, that's why :).

I don't say, that passing higher than vg is useless - it's easier to player to control the ball, and pass is more accurate.
But playmaking gives player possibility to choose best option to pass the ball - the lower pm, the more often back passes. And higher pm = more through passes.

One is sure, that nor passing, nor playmaking should be lower than v.good.

And propably the best option is to have same pm as passing.

For counter attacks you need passing though :P.

More pm can't lead to accurate passes from the halfway line and such.

Passing and PM ideally should be the same, I agree, although it is hard to find mids like that.

You can have them lower than v good if they have other skills that make up the difference though.

Great match, great result. We were clearly the better team out there.

I think I've finally found a system that works for the team in general, and a few tweaks here and there every match will make it a successful formula.

Veart and North were sensational on the wings, and Zdrilic is impressing me more and more. Newhill as always, was gold up front, though I don't like how he fumbles so many balls. Hrehoresin made the most of his lone chance too.

You know - Ireland isn't a good NT...

But nice result. I don't actually know, why there was Parkinson on the field, but you are the manager here ;)
2006-06-10 10:44:11
Parkinson's the best guy we have for an AM.

Which is why I was looking for a ridiculously high passer who I can play there, and expect to distribute the ball perfectly. Until I find him, or train him up, I'll have to play the high playmaker/striker.
2006-06-10 10:52:58
But check how often he makes a shot ;)
His striking level is useless IMO :).
2006-06-10 11:23:04
Of course, he's playing under Mid orders when he plays deeper.

In matches where I'll push him up further, he'll play under ATT orders and shoot.
2006-06-10 11:29:15
So maybe we could use Galal when he's not playing as Att...? :/
2006-06-10 15:48:12
Galal has no passing. So he'll never play as a midfielder unless he trains in it for a long time.
