Asunto: National Team
Hayastan 3-3 Australia
Solid result away against a team ranked 13 places above us. Won possession and had more shots which was pleasing and a higher defence trapped them offside well.
I’m off to a wine festival in Chinon, France now. Aurevoir.

Good evening all,
I have returned from travelling for a month in France where I unfortunately didn't have the time to scout opponents and create new tactics. I was able to select the best eleven, and choose from pre-made tactics from other games, but I certainly couldn't put our best foot forward for these matches.
Results while I was on the road....
Hayastan 3:3 Australia (good result against a team ranked well and truly above us)
Vietnam 5:0 Australia (not a great result, but Vietnam 30 places ahead of us)
Australia 1:2 Bolivia (an even match against an evenly matched side)
Australia 0:3 Latvia (dominated, should've been beaten by more against a team ranked 30+ spots above us)

...and back to reality with tonight's match.
Kenya 0:4 Australia
I'm actually really annoyed with this result after creating a reasonable tactic. Felt like this should've been an 8-0 result...
* Our squad has just one studly striker (Tim Alagich)... and he was injured in the 2nd minute, and out for three weeks
* 57% possession
* 66% attacking territory
* 22 shots to 2
The good news I guess, is that due to form and injuries I had to look a bit deeper into the squad. We rated 68 for this game whereas at full strength we should be somewhere around 75ish. And this shows our issue. If our first eleven is available and in form we are a decent side, but there's not much available when injuries and form issues strike.
Anyway, I'll stop whingeing over a win, albeit against poor opposition.
Next week, it should be a rematch against Bolivia, a winnable game and a chance to drag back some ranking points.

Bolivia is now unavailable due to an unexpected progression in a cup, so we play UAE in a friendly this coming weekend.
Shame there are bugger all Aus managers. :(
Need international managers to train our players to have any chance of a decent NT. :( again.

as has always been the case, we can really only compare ourselves to countries of similar size to us, and really we have always performed above our pay grade.
one good thing with the aus community is people have always been pretty open to training a higher proportion of trainees for the sake of the country than would otherwise be seen in other countries with a similar size.
even now, we have 3 managers which as we grow, are happy to focus on aussies where possible, keeping in mind that both you and i are still growing, and thus to afford the better trainees moving forward, still need to train outside talent to get the money to buy future nt champions.

Ridiculous, how can you have a player this young who looks like this.
Viktor Balašković , age 24 value: 7 303 600 AU$
wage: 83 600 AU$
Transfer topic
formidable stamina superdivine keeper
superdivine pace average defender

Looks like they have three keepers of that quality in their NAT team.
Yeah its true...three or two but both are playing 93-95 % Gk!!!!
(56) Australia 0-0 U.A.E (67)
The scoreline does not tell the story of this one. A dominant performance where the ball would just not go in. A penalty saved, several instances of defenders clearing the ball off the line. With our sole uber striker injured, Brooks got a chance starting up front and couldn't score despite 15 shots. So frustrating.
The tale of the tape (AUS:UAE):
Ratings: 73:70
Shots: 15:5
Possession 52:48
Play in Half 38:62
Offsides 0:5
While reasonably happy with the tactic, if I had my time again (hindsight blah blah...) I would've played an additional striker on the shoulder of Brooks to mop up the many many crumbs caused as a result of their stacked defence.

Hello Australian brothers, I hope they are well, it is regrettable about the selection but it is something that I had been predicting since we do not have good relays and the means of more guarantees are getting older, I had done a scouting job but I did not find players for the selection that can give us a better game and more staff, I will finish training my first wave of media try to find an Australian to support because it is terrible that the selection is declining so it is also the fault of what happened to me about the defenses that are super divine but play as excellent and that makes it difficult to plan better tactics.
agbell I sent you request for game Guatemala vs Australia I thought you would accept but you agreed against us when you can tell me and we played a friendly greeting !!!

This weekend we play the USA. They are ranked 8 places ahead of us, however both teams pull fairly similar rating so this is a good opportunity for us. Midfielder Preston Hammond is fit again after an injury layoff, however in bad news our stud striker Tim Alagich will miss another week or two.
