Asunto: National Team

Thanks all, whilst I could ask lists of questions, I can see that I'd be happy to give any one of you a crack at the NT team, and look forward to working with whomever gets the job.

Whomever gets elected, send me your email and I can send you a spreadsheet I have been working on of U21's who have promoted since I have been in charge, including comparison data to determine who will likely make the big leagues.

After this age update, the excel document will cover 22, 23, 24 and 25yo, so really starting to get in to the early Senior NT phase

That seems great to me, since you have done a very good job with the U21 and are a great support for the community and the national team. Apart from looking for results, the responsibility of the u21 is to coordinate with the technician of the major to send the new players with projection to the major, an order must always be maintained so that everything goes well, I think that the entire community in general should do its bit to grow. There are good candidates and good luck to all.

I hope that whoever wins can come back to the national team very strong and be an engine that drives the community.

Hello folks, I was thinking maybe we can have a classic New Zealand-Australia next season. So who ever will win this, save a week for us maybe:)

We're halfway through the elections. Just one of you has decided to vote so far. I had a vote which was withdrawn, now l-zsolt has it - who knows how will it end? :)
It's getting very exciting and seems like it'll be even more as we'll be approaching the end of the voting.
I hope you'll choose wisely and whoever wins the race will let Australia fill a piece of his/her heart for not just a moment but a very long time!

I've held back in voting.....no point until everybody is finished putting forward their case....although, like most elections, promises or pledges mean little until it's time to "walk the walk". :)

What I'd like to know from each?

- what NT have you managed (how many active managers at that time)
- ranking at start & ranking when finished

No pledges or promises from my side, as you can see. I'm just trying to show you that I'm very much engaged in sokker by being active.
As I wrote earlier, I've conducted 3 NT. The first one was Pilipinas U21 just after their NT was created. There were about 3-4 users active at that time. Then I took over their senior NT and reached historical 3rd place in the WC qualifiers. No more than 6 users active back then.


Now I came back conducting Lëtzebuerg U21 NT after a break that lasted a few years. I have just one person to work with there, so a very narrow number of players.
I can't tell you anything specific about the rankings. As I recall correctly, I pushed Pilipinas around 15-20 places up in the rank (from 80s to 60s).

I just want to add that I'm not drawn into big, top teams. I enjoy helping smaller nations, not because I don't stand a chance - I might even fight for the Polish U21 NT with a lot of support, but because I feel I'm doing something for someone else and I'm squeezing my knowledge to its limits.

Hi, fantum.I will answer to you in a few posts, because any of my past NT-s have his own history.
For beginning you could see my first NT season here, with Nippon(Japan NT), long time ago, in 2013, when Japan had 14 users.
Was a single friendly season, where we meeted some very strong NT-s at that moment, like Bosna i Herzegovina, Danmark, Romania and Hungary.So, i played interesting, i think, beated them all, and i have my bad days to, but i think at that time, when soccer had his better days not all litle teams beated Romania or Hungary, even they comes with young U27 teams, also Danmark and Bosnia used they first teams.That was my beginning season, i dont know, how many positions i progressed there, but i think, i had some places forward.

My second NT was Hungary U21. 2 seasons i was they coach.A big users country at that moment.There i ended second in quaifying group after the Netherlands and qualfyied to WC .
At that WC we played very unlucky, losing first match with Switzerland(0-1), after we got a red card even on first half, then i makes two draws one with Polska (World Champions in that WC and Suomi) and losed the second stage.Some of hungarians liked my job there, i ruled more than 80 young players to get better trained, i makes the base of a strong future Hun U21, but also i had opponents that wanted fast results and had no passion....so i decided to go ...and i goes where?
to the "land down under " :D

Australia U21 :
I meeted a few great generations of young aussie players,
i qualified the team for two WC-s
and i was third in WC tournament group, with a victory and two close losings against WC bronze team of Bosnia and quarter finalist Slovakia.
Was some very interesting seasons, 30-40 users had Australia then and we makes great results together against some top teams.The ranking? I got many positions forward, just imagine when a little team qualifyed two times in the row to WC.Positions 23-30 approx.

At the end, i was Malta coach, just two seasons ago.A friendly season, with a lot of young NT players.
Look at my results. beginning to prepare the matches from week 2
I got pop up of 3 places there and 8 victorys+1 draw.

I want to announce that I am declining my candidacy, I am seeing that I do not generate trust from the community, perhaps because of the time that my new account has been in sokker.

I had a project with long-term ambition and I know that I can implement it and do it excellent because this was a great challenge that I was going to face since I love to manage and more something damaged, repair it and leave it working at 100% but some factors prevent me.

For this reason I want to support the user vampyr who seems to me to be the most suitable candidate for this difficult moment facing the Australian national team.

I believe that he is currently active with the national teams and I see him as a beneficial project for the national team. With nothing more to say,

I will retire and I hope everything ends up being positive for the community and the national team. a hug in the same way I am at order.

calm friend I think that is not my moment now and of the candidates that I see you have a better project.

The use of young players to improve the efficiency of training is something that the selection urgently needs apart from looking for results that of course we must always do as technicians.

Also if you have user contacts that can help train Australian players that would help a lot. You have been working with national teams, therefore you have experience and I think your plans with the national team are very good, I think that of the remaining candidates you are the Indian to take the reins because you already have an established plan and you have always spoken with humility that it is something that me pleases a lot.

You can help a lot here in this community and with the national team and I think you are responsible and it is better that you win and give someone new a chance as it can turn out to be something very positive for Australia.

If you think it is convenient, I would like to be part of your technical team if you win the elections, I can help as a scout to make your work a little easier. I see it somewhat strong and thus bring back the selection.

I think that your phase would be important and then other projects arrive but your initiative is noble in wanting to rescue the selection, so you have my support.

I would need as much help as possible, if I won, so your proposition is worth considering.
Though there are not so many Australian players in here, I need to monitor them and get development reports sistematically.
