Good luck mate :)
Hope you will manage to keep the team in the 4'th pot for the next qualifications.

From what I know of the defenders, there is nothing wrong with their pace or Def but do lack a bit on secondaries compared to the big nations, so whilst the odd through ball may get through, pace shouldn't be an issue.

Half the thing with tactics is surprising the opposition. Knowing who is likely to change tactics and who isn't. Using the same named tactic but one week it may have an offside trap and another week it may be a deep defence.

These are normally things I recommend people to be trying in friendlies and their league matches before taking on an NT but I can see you are trying which is great.

It is also difficult managing teams of different strengths (say if you managed Singapore, then Poland then Australia etc) as different levels have different tactics which work better etc. I think people definitely find it easier to manage teams with similar ratings to their own personal team as generally the skills will be similar.

Keep trying, keep taking on board what others say, watch matches and I'm sure you'll get better.

I think Australia continues to have some defensive problems or you did not put the deep defense well, maybe it was very static and this sometimes causes these problems against very strong rivals that has already happened to me but vampyr is learning from mistakes, do not get discouraged, keep trying you will improve It is true what achmid says. Sometimes the tactics vary depending on the levels since if you come from directing u21 it is not the same at a higher nt or even depending on the material you have and the overall performance of the team. Italy is also a very difficult rival, the important thing is to try here, there are good people who will support you in the same way, here I am at your command.

Cheers guys for the support. It's a pleasure to work here, in such a friendly environment.

@Achmid

You are 100% that out defs are high-skilled in def and pace but lack secondaries. That's the main issue here. There are a lot of factors that combined influence and improve player's ability to tackle. Technique helps a lot to get the ball from behind and on the side. Playmaking supports positioning against through balls and gives the player a higher possibility to react more quickly while on the ball (to send it forward and not to lose it to strikers).

Never heard tech being used for that way. I always thought tech was more for controlling the ball or beating tackles, not making them. Making them I thought was a combo of def/pace against the opponents pace/tech with obviously an element of rng involved. Similarly thought pm had nothing to do with stopping through balls, that was a tactical issue and that pm basically was an offensive action that created opportunities for your own through balls and to dispose of the ball quicker and less likely to be hoofed out of field. Interesting thought though, is there any direct reference to these things or is this just what you believe/understand? I’m always interested in other thoughts/information but I’d never heard this before.

All of this was discussed many times over the years on the polish forums mostly. I don't know, if I can find the exact posts on the forum but it was all confirmed by the devs and game architects. There are plenty more such details, with which I'm always trying to keep on track. Do you know much pm gives to the strikers? It's not only a quicker decision of playing the ball to another player but also:
- a better positioning (looking for gaps)
- the higher the pm is, the quicker the start to the through ball (a player can start running even before the ball is passed)
- a higher level of intelligence - he looks for a better positioned partners/other strikers who have a better position, mostly in one on ones with the keeper
And the most surprising for some: pm supports long range shots!

All in all, pm supports all the decision making process. There are some users who prefer using players with a little lower main skills (pace, tech, striker) at the expense of pm and def.

Interesting to hear, though if that's the case and it's confirmed in the polish forums by devs then the English rules need to be updated to state this because currently the english rules don't.

I was aware of the looking for better players etc, but yeah wasn't aware of things like long shots or more likely to run early etc.

It was discussed many times, mainly to increase the awareness among the new users but no one seems keen to make it official. Maybe it'll come along with the changes that are about to be implemented.

I will certainly never discount what the Devs have discussed in the Polish forums, it's well known a lot more has been said by them there, than anywhere else in the game.

As far as I know officially (or at least think I remember officially), is tech is what stops the throughballs, and also helps a player trap the ball.

Playmaker is more about speed of decision making and appropriateness of said decision.

But as I said, I am only going on official English posts.

I know PM has always been very highly regarded by Polish users (moreso than other users in other countries) which does make me believe there has been a lot more discussed regarding what it does, and not just a long term hangover from the very early MEs where PM dominated the game

Great advertisement for the game if this is the case. I could only imagine if SK was a legitimate company....they'd be done for insider trading. Ethically wrong to be keeping that info in-house.
I guess that's why my focus remains elsewhere. :)
I can see myself doing a "naphtali" and going idle at some point.

We have a huge number of 'sokker analytics' on the forum who always share their observations. Most of their assumptions were corrected as seconded by the devs.

Can you all please send me the updates of the NT players once again, please? Terrion says that everything should be working just fine with the assistant right now. I need to check it.

There still is a lot of discover in sokker, like how to count youth's talent, estimate ending level properly or simply which skills influence the appearances the most or which support the main ones. That's the beauty of it, that not everything is already known and needs getting deeper into it.

This is no different to elsewhere, especially back when sokker was big. It's just that the Polish Devs only chose to ever say such things in the Polish forums, so unless you spoke Polish, especially in the time prior to decent google translate, you never really knew

Can't argue with what you said.
But that's why you have me here. I want to share such info. You can always feel free to ask anything that makes you wondering or doesn't let you sleep at night :)

There are certain elements such as game updates & other events that should be front page news....& most other games will have something like this, with updates & direction. My Club page & Start page don't have anything like this.

Having to troll through forum posts for hidden or unknown information comes across as somewhat protective & has a certain "it's fine if you know where to look" feel about it.

Knowing how each skill set works for positions should be part & parcel of the game manual. If there are hidden aspects, they should remain hidden to all.
