It was a very difficult match. I think this is the best match from Bulgary this season, still we were very poor on offensive. Our wing should have started 1 step behind

Bulgary shot 14 times. Only 1 or 2 of those were 1 vs Newton, the other times were from outside our big box area. Still, we didnt have the luck we had some othe times, 2nd goal was a mid distance shot and the 3rd goal was by penalty kick.

We are short of resources right now, Jim is dropping form, Hammond very low form and Nicole 3 weeks off due to injury.

Anyway this defeat was inside the possibilities, we already played against the worst ranked (Tunis) and the 2 best ranked (Portugal and Bulgary) which give us a positive balance, next 2 opponents as hard as F*, very good managers.
At least I hope even losing today we can get some rating points :D

Good effort mate, they have very skilled players.

The next few weeks should be interesting, because as you say, we've played the best and the worst, now time to play where the money is.

Australia - Latvija 1:2

I liked the way australia faced the game, we had very nice control of the ball, but was not enough. The opposite striker is a demon!! he won almost everything against our defenders, heads, controlled air balls, receive and shoot with no space..... Luckily our GK newton had an amazing day and saved us

On the other side, Australia also had great opportunities, some 1 vs GK chances, very well stopped by their GKs, we were able to step on their box area many times, pushing as a team, but it was clear that our strikers were not gonna be good, all of them below brilliant form, and our best, Jim, is only 9 form. Still is the one who create best chances and the one who scrored.

Also the team is really missing 2 of the top5 players australia has.

Will do some corrections on this tactic, didnt like couple of details..... claassifying is starting to go away, but we will continue fighting!!

Bugger about the result, that was probably the team we really needed to beat to keep ourselves within a qualification chance, but trying to win when you are giving up 6 ratings points is never easy.

Based on the stats and the rating difference, 1:2 is probably a pretty average-above average result so congrats on that one.

By this stage of the season, going on rankings alone, par would see us at 1W-3L or 1W-2L-1D so results wise, you are doing a decent job.

Unfortunately due to exams etc. I haven't actually had a chance to watch any of your matches and give feedback (something Vampyr had to suffer through, although I do believe he was a better tactician by the end of the season compared to the start of the season).

No way how we lost today against Peru. They had a great match but we did better!!!

We shot more and more important, just in front of their GK, the ball just doesnt go in.... One of the options 3 australians vs peruvian GK, and lost the chance. Some other 2 opportunities the striker in front of the gk and never shot, just gave the ball to the gk's hand

Reasons are easy to explain:

- Our defs are short, we are receiving goals, by lost heads, Still waiting to players to improve form
- The most important, our strikers dont score, some other times is worst, they dont shot. We are having problems in defense, as expected our opponents have great offensive players, but when we create good options, simply we dont score

I think we deserved today at least a draw: 3-3 or 4-4 but this is sokker.... :(

I feel for you mate. I had a couple of seasons there where no matter what I did, no matter how many chances our tactic got us, our strikers just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net. Was very frustrating.

this guy is on TL, this is a perfect example of how australia is doing about DEF:

1. very high DEF and PACE skills but low technique and PM, actually this guy is one of the best with Tech skill, the others are too low
2. Short players, our defense line is short, also our GK, very high percentage of the goals are comming by heads, good thing is that U27 defenders are tall, still if they need training improvement, the could be used in the next matches

My suggestion to the def trainers, please sk mail if needed:

1. Coaches with also high skills on secondary, at least incredible in tech, pm and passing. I understand you guys cant hire expensive coaches
2. Have 3 assitants, I think at least 3x outstanding coaches are affordable
3. Defenders with magical pace and magical defense could be start fighting 1 spot on the NT, BUT they require secondary skills, if they are 2x16 they are almost in. My suggestion is that instead of spending so much time to tahe this players to divine or superdivine defense and pace, please.... train them on technique and some playmaking, a defender with 16x def and pace, 12x tech and 10x PM is better (my opinion) to have 18x def and pace, 7x tech, 5 PM.

Passing in my opinion is very nice to have, but is more luxury.

I agree with pretty much all you say, but the early bit about the Incredible pass/tech/play... Thats not going to happen :D if they could get that high with unearthly Def, they'd be our Mids.

But everything else I agree with. It is more useful to get to excellent tech/play than that one extra pace/Def to divine.

I think he meant head coaches with at least incredible in those stats rather than players but yeah I agree that to a point secondaries are more useful then simply stacked onto a single skill set. You can say the same thing about midfielders and defender or strikers and defender.

I don't have 3x outstanding assistants atm but I do have 3x formidable assistants which isn't too far off the mark. Still in that build -> improve -> build phase.
