Good game, congratulations. So nice to see Australia improving on ranking.

First team of Australia is very good... On subtitutions you start to scratch your head hehe, but there is always a good solution

Cymru - Australia 0:4

All game was under our control, only 1 shot on goal did by our opponent, 6 points after 2 games.
We are going in the right direction. Next week friendly with Sweden probably u29. I will try collect some ranking points.

After that level are going higher, I am slowly create tactic for the match against the Netherlands.

If anyone is interested, here's the originating youth club of our current NAT squad.

34 of the 40 players still coming from 3 clubs (Tribe-7, Achmid-10, Chelsea-17). Good to see Cisco and Mongrels getting a player in each, but it would be nice to see a few more of the established Aussie clubs produce some extra players to inject into the talent pool.

Karol/Achmid - Maybe this is the challenge? How do we (a) get YPs out of the other clubs (b) ensure that they are tracking their talent accurately and (c) trying to get the YP into the hands of the appropriate trainer. If we just get one or two more clubs doing this correctly it should make a difference to our talent pool.

Hi,
Do you know how many junior schools we currently have? I think there is only one way - we have to write to every Australian user not listed here, asking if he knows how the school works, can he somehow help/advise him/even offer to buy a trained player. Only a large number of well-functioning schools can ensure an influx of good players to the NT.

It needs to start in the A-League first, that's where he most active managers are. Then start looking at the second division.

Clubs that you can guarantee are bringing through regular and accurate youths I would say are:
Chelsea
Achmid
Comets
TMP
Tribe (is inactive, but logs in occasionally just to sell off youth players - hopefully this continues)

Don't worry about any of those clubs. Everyone else is an opportunity to contact.

Active clubs that are engaged in the game, that are pulling youths, but I'm unsure how managed their tracking/training/selling is....
Mongrels?
CIsco?

Then there's a handful of other semi-active managers that could be opportunities to bring on board.
Stamford
Ginger
PAOK
Portland

Then there's a compete unknown in Ukmerg, who has been playing in Australia for 11yrs but I don't recall seeing a yout pull make it into the national team.

There's opportunities to engage a few.

Achmid - You have probably been paying attention to the youth pipeline better than me, thoughts?

Awesome work looking through this.

The way to find out whether someone has a youth school open is to go to the teams main page, click on players, click on junior players.

Now these could be 25yo youths stuck in the school, but it says their youth school is open.

As far as people training/pulling etc.

Crazy that such a high proportion still come from just 3 clubs, but I think this is probably because to go from 18yo, to 26yo (approx age of a senior) is 8 seasons, and then each good youth takes 1-2 seasons in youth school, plus the time it takes to get a production line of youths...2-3 season. So all up, from start of youth school to regular NT players probably looking at 12-13 seasons. This means what we are seeing now, likely came from clubs that were active 12 seasons ago which is approx 4yrs ago.

We had a real injection of managers approximately 7ish seasons ago, so for this to filter in, we are probably still 5 seasons away from seeing those clubs youths really making a difference.

Compared to the current U21 squad (which I haven't completely updated), we have the following number of players from each youth school:

Cool Runnings - 7
Cisco - 5
Chelsea - 5
Achmids - 5
Comets - 4
Mongrels - 3
Ginger nuts - 2
Phils XI - 2
TMP - 2
Chile FC - 1
Ukes - 1
Stamford - 1
Tribe - 1

So this is certainly looking a lot more promising, a couple of the above, I have been working with regarding their youth school and training of players

That is true regarding the time taken to filter through to the NAT squad. but the current NAT squad does have 15 players 22-26yrs old. So you'd consider that cohort the current group that is 'bridging' between the U21 and the senior starting teams. The mix in that cohort:
1 Cisco
4 Achmid
6 Chelsea
3 Tribe
1 Mongrels

So this doesn't necessarily prove we have an 'issue', it just shows that the efforts to uplift the youth pulling effort is super slow to bear fruit. The U21 spread certainly shows a much better picture. Even one more manager we can get on board with pulling/tracking/training youths optimally will have an impact given how few teams are inputting into the NAT squads.

Unexpected that the 22-26yo age group is still so heavily in favor of 3 teams. Definitely super slow to get the youth academy's bearing fruit.

Yup, which is why (apart from getting more managers involved) the key is not just pulling YPs, it’s three-pronged…

Pulling youth pulls
Accurately tracking talent in the youth squad, and
Ensuring the talented players get to the right manager for the right training

It’s possible that we now have more people pulling youths (which by itself isn’t a bad thing), but with no real idea of their talent, and how/when/who to sell to. It might be a case of… we have more managers involved, now let’s tweak it to the next level.

Hi guys,
I think that we need help new users like The Golden Suns. Some users don't know how manage junior schools. They leave 20-21yo players there.
I wrote sk@ to him with some advise. We should check lower leages and ask if anybody need help.
2021-12-22 11:33:39
Unfortunately The Golden Suns hasn't been logging in for a long time and probably he will be bot soon :/
2021-12-22 12:02:24
Every new user gets an sk-mail from me, most never even read it. Hard to help if they don't read or reply.

We have all the systems in place, which is why we do so well for the few teams we actually have. It's certainly not an inexperienced or poorly managed country
