Did you intentionally play Schofield/Parkinson with MID order? Parkinson managed to sneak a goal anyway, but that may have contributed to the potency in front of goal.

There is no way to change the instruction , when changing tactics from 532 to 523. The striker enters with the instruction of the changed player. Therefore, when such a rotation is made, the striker with the MID instruction is best to play in the middle so as not to pass, but to play a shot towards goal. The MID instruction does not change the effectiveness in front of goal of the striker. The striker just starts passing instead of shooting, which is still good if he has a high level of passing.
The idea was not to play with Terje because he already has two cards. I expected us to score 1-2 more goals,but with a one goal difference I had no choice and reversed tactics. He and Renaud will be important for the games with the favourites and it was better to let them rest.

I didn't realise the formation changed. Makes sense.

Unfortunately we don't have the strength for a bit more :( What I wanted from the first scheme worked out,but fell very easy goal. We had to open up a bit more and the problems came out. It wasn't a bad game,but I would have liked to steal a point to keep the favourite under pressure :) Let's see what happens against France...maybe a miracle will happen and we can take something from the other favourite in the group :))

You deserved something from the two games I'm sure if the community is patient toward you will be rewarded in the next cycle.

The community here is patient. From my perspective it’s less about that and more about how well you fit overall. You’ve done a good job this season so far and have been a lot closer to much better teams than I would have expected.

great game today unlucky unfortunately :(

The game turned our backs on us in these qualifiers :(( The opponent received a red card and we created a lot of clean sheets. But once again luck was not on our side. Unfortunately the dream in these qualifiers was extinguished :( ( You know how much I hate to lose, but I will have to accept reality. The four games with you and France give me reasons to believe, that the path is right.

It's a shame the dream is over, but congrats on getting a point against France. Never easy to do.
Now we can focus on getting to 3rd and getting Australia up to the 3rd pot

We will certainly play for our honor in the last two games. We climbed a little in the rankings, but 48th place is still far away. However, there is an option to achieve it next season.

We played one match for the audience :) Today there were enough goals :) It remains to play one last match against Ecuador and then we will be able to make a final analysis of what we have achieved this season. I think that after today's matches, the third place in the group will be for us. But we will certainly play in such a way that we will again win ranking points for the team.

Great win. Just wondering why wouldn't have used some B or even C squad players to provide additional training.

There was a theoretical chance of finishing second in the group. That's why we needed a strong result.

I was going to write to you privately, but since you wrote here, I'll write it here too. I have a request for you - is it possible to dedicate next season to training the forwards' technique? It is especially important for the two boys in the extended squad. Australia's problems came from the lack of a striker to play alongside Terje. We were doing well in all four games against the favorites, but we simply lacked a second, truly classy striker. For the next qualifiers, Terje will be 32. It would be great if these two guys are ready to take over the baton.

Crews has been already provided with tech training. Shipley will get his as soon as reaches 17 striker. Should take him another 5-6 weeks approx.
