If there were not so many offsides, I'd be much happier. They had almost no offsides.

Almost pulled off a draw. Not a bad effort considering the obvious skill advantage of the other team.

So where does that leave us?

hanging on by a thread.

If Slovensko win , we need a draw against Argentina, If Slovensko lose , we need to win against Argentina and hope Argentina lose to Netherlands or hope that Slovensko lose to Malaysia which is unlikely, finally if its a draw, We need to get a draw against Argentina and hope they draw or lose to Netherlands or beat Argentina.

In summary we need at least a draw against Argentina.

wtf @ playing Veart and North holding hands... It would have been a good tactic if you had of sorted that out. I dunno what you were thinking there mate, there was no chance of anything good happening when 2 players just stand next to each other all game. Disappointing you played Howarth as a MID too, because it could have been really good bar those two things.

Hm...imo it was good too use Veart and North near eachother. As you've seen - Hrehoresing couldn't dribble past defenders, and they were also faster then him, so only possibility to score was after wing actions. I knew our wingers are too slow and have too low technique[yet] to dribble past defs of NED, so I though that 1st one looses the ball, and 2nd tackles it back from def which happened a couple of times.

Yes, but you see - Nederland can use offside traps cause they have fast and good in defence defs. And they had no risk, cause even if our forward got past them, he was too slow to run alone to the goal.

About Howarth as a mid...omg what a shame, didn't seen it when making line up...my fault :(

well make up for it now by beating argentina or else its all bye byes for us since Argentina came from 2 - 0 down to beat slovensko 4 - 3.

Nah, I treid to win today. But you can't win against Nederland when you play open football - too good forwards[one of them dribbled Howarth...] and too good Mulders. :p

hmm ok, personally 1 striker and 5 defenders , would indicate to me that you're playing for the draw :p, but i'll take your word for it since you designed the tactic :).

Disagree. It was definitely a good idea, after the last match against Nederland, when playing 2 wingers on different sides completely failed.

De Lange and Vonk had serious problems on the wing to stop your offensive actions. That's exactly how you scored and got all your chances.

Btw it looked quite odd, that when North got ball on wing, he hadn't got anyone to play - Hrehoresin was running slower then North with the ball...

i personally thought the 2 together was an interesting move. What happened quite often including the play that got us the goal, was one would get the ball get tackled ball came loose and fell into the other who then ran away down the field. Had Veart been substituted at the next throw in we might have scored a 2nd :p.

even though, your striker got a couple of goal chances - not 1 only as in our last game.

Good luck against Argentina, you'd certainly need it.
