Asunto: State Cup - S13 - Registration

If nobody else signs up, looks like there might even be a VICACTAS team... and a Queenslander will have to renounce their state for WA ;)

I'm off to the old continent for two weeks (extremely convenient time for transfers!)
By the time I come back we'll be week3 which leave plenty of time to get the empty spots filled... I'll do the draw at that time so people will have it well before week8 when the comp kicks off...

As a result I'll come here less often than I usually do but I'll come and check this thread between games...
In the meantime feel free to hassle me on sk mail if you have a question...

I'll play again for TAS or QLD... whoever wants me.

following Ach's good idea to get rid of people going awol when we need to book friendlies we're going to use the friendly league system for the round robin.
6 friendly leagues of 6 teams.
I will do a complete random draw this year once I know the 6 friendly league owners.

for that I need:
- 5 volunteers to set-up a friendly league (me being the 6th), PLUS user obviously...
- 1 team to play for Victoria (they look good this year to be fair...)

wk11 Round 4
wk12 Round 5
wk13 5th place, 1/2s
wk14 3rd place, Final

So in that case is each member of a different state going to be taking on someone from a different state, in which case a ladder is virtually pointless until the end :s. Will take a fair bit of tracking.

I was going to suggest later a rules change where individual team score for their state as it will be virtually impossible to get all team from one state to play all other from an other state on the same day...

we can discuss this once we have setup the league which in my eyes is going to be the biggest challenge... we'll worry about numbers later :)

but to answer your question, yes one team from each state will be in each league...

I'm happy to set up a league

only thing to note is if a kiwi hosts a league those in that league will play 2 hours before the rest do in Australia ;). I'd have no problems with a 2 hour earlier match though but it depends whether or not people then want to take advantage knowing the result they need in later matches.

I'm happy to host a friendly league if required. Think there's a fair few of us now who can do that ;). All works out on who to put where really. Maybe one from each state should host and one state miss out on hosting?
