only thing to note is if a kiwi hosts a league those in that league will play 2 hours before the rest do in Australia ;). I'd have no problems with a 2 hour earlier match though but it depends whether or not people then want to take advantage knowing the result they need in later matches.

I'm happy to host a friendly league if required. Think there's a fair few of us now who can do that ;). All works out on who to put where really. Maybe one from each state should host and one state miss out on hosting?

Well if no one *cough* has a problem with having matches two hours earlier than the rest then i'll be happy to host a friendly league.

I'd probably prefer a 2 hour earlier match anyway ;). Would rather my games be at 5:30 then 7:30 ;).

Hate to admit it but NZ look like one difficult team to beat and could potentially steal this Australian State Cup from us :o. Probably say they'd go in favourites for this season with the current list of teams.

All depends on who's available to play really. People's training regimes will play a big part. But you're right, that's a brute of a NZ team.

yeah that's right, I was just going by strength in general but it's going to be another interesting competition.

I took this from a league of 6 teams, that had a 2nd round leg, but hopefully the first half is still the same.
Ad as far as people to host the league, I would suggest the people hosting be as much from the same state as posible, so that to get all of one state v another, it is as easy as selecting the state teams in the right order, and not having to work out a draw for each plus user to select teams in

You sure on that? Check out the OZ League III by Lowrider from a few seasons ago, notice that despite being the host the first round they had they played at home :s.

Thats pretty interesting really, Ive checked two current friendly leagues (that havent played a round and have 6 teams) and the rounds are the same, so maybe it changes season to season

Or maybe, somehow it was possible for the host not to be #1 :s. Because if you treat them as #2 it works out the same, although it seems to be a very rare case, checking a lot of others.

I dont have a problem with NZ hosting a league, knowing the results of one game can go both ways... add or remove pressure... that could be good to stimulate some competition since most of us use training squad anyway.

I will do the draw this week, 6 hats with 6 little papers going through one hat at a time... I'll do it on the balcony so i can have the neighboor's cat and the lorikeets as witness...

you only need 5 leagues since there are only 5 players on each team ;). Put one member from each state in each league and you end up with the 30 required ;).

plus you cant have a league with an odd number of teams (rules) so I don't know where that 6x5 or even 6x6 comes from since we only got 30 teams...

something I cant remember though... when you have a friendly league I think gate receipt arent split... anyone can confirm or remember?
that would be a downer as some would play 3 times at home, some 2 times... plus it would depend on your opponent too...
