that still wouldn't do it, because 5 games => 3 home 2 away or 2 home 3 away :p.

You'd actually need 7 teams per league and I don't think FL's can have odd numbered teams.

true, so what you would need is odd numbered leagues or a second leg...damn

money wise I think that comparing 5 shared gate incomes to 2 or 3 full ones might add up to similar numbers... the FL system guarantees us games week in week out as well as training, plus it saves worrying about looking for friendly for a total of 5 weeks...
we should still stick with it I believe...

just to give this topic a brush and a bit of an update...

Cometer has been working on the friendly league system and it seems we're reaching a solution now to keep the state vs state fixtures system.
I'll be doing the draw over the week-end and present everything on monday hopefully.

Right, the week-end started early so here is the deal so far:
- 5 leagues of 6 teams (1 team from each state actually)
- Cometer's system checked and approved which gives us 3 straight State vs State rounds (Rd1, Rd2 and Rd3) and 2 mixed rounds (Rd4 and Rd5, where the final score of a state vs state encounter will be known after Rd5 (3games Rd4+2gamesRd5, get it?!)).

I need the 3 following people to agree to be league hosts:
- Achmid
- Cloete
- Agbell
- Cometer, Minkee agreed
The choice of this 4 people is purely based on the league simulation we ran and the fact that we havent got enough plus users in Victoria or NSW so dont feel left aside if you had volunteered before.

As soon as these 4 people accept I will be able to supply the States fixtures list which will soon be followed by the Individual fixtures list following the draw.

yeah WA and NZ both have 2 plus users in the team I think, so they were other possibilities, but NSW and VIC didn't have enough and it was impossible to work it anywhere near state v state with multiple hosts, as even with 2 hosts it could only get 3 of the 5 rounds accurate.

I am in. I'll just need someone to (platonically) hold my hand through the setup process. :P

NZ and WA would only share 2 rounds with 3 hosts from QLD...

not necessarily, switch ACTAS with either of NZ and WA in both groups and the system will work the exact same ;) just a different order of playing teams. Still looks like we've got 4 of the 5 hosts now anyway :).

I figured out we can switch the hosts at will and end up with 3 matching rounds at most but I still need 5 hosts I can rely on and using 3 from QLD and 2 from ACTAS I have a bunch of experienced users that log regularly nearly each day... if not each hours...

having 3 plus users in QLD is a bonus and not using NZ save time difference problem... I could always switch to WA if you insist cause Tribe and the Devil's are reliable in my opinion too :)

I took a decision so we could get on with it, I dont want to feel the need to justify them everytime...
