"I might be wrong, but I don't think TerjeH ever quite felt the same about the game after he sold Amien."

I think you got that right ;)

I still think this is a great game, and I had some Amien potentials in my team, but work takes more and more time, and I've hated to do this halfway. The team gets so weak even with good players. So good time to pack it up now :)

So long, and thanks for all the fish. Too bad Sokker has a limit on the number of letters in your team name, so didn't get "and" in it, so halfway there as well :p

Favorite game was when I beat TigerTUFF in the cup final and who else than Amien was the hero back then :p

You got that right.

Strangely enough, I feel the same way. I fear my interest in this game is going to wane once I offload Burski, Zydo, Rex et al.

Yeah mate, definitely sad to see you actually leaving. Old rivalry about to be finished.

I know what you mean about work tho, my last day at work was a 16 hour one, which leaves bugger all time for Sokker.

Booo. Stay at the forum please :) you can make your team a big training camp for you Aussies :p

Interest survives if you can find other promising players to take over that interest. Sometimes that isn't easy to do, but if you find something your interest comes back. Certainly is different when you let go of the players that have held your interest for so long though.

3-0, very happy with that result, I was a little dubious going into the game with my 2nds, and then after HT a DM getting sent off, but they won it without me having to send in any 1sts, so another week of training for my guys.

Next week will be hard no matter what happens, whether I draw Tribe or Froggies, who knows, maybe the constant runs of draws between Tribe and myself will come to an end

We looked very uninspiring for the majority of the match.

Both teams hit the post a few times and Bhoys were very unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty right on the edge of the box.

Vellido came on at half-time, but that wasn't enough. Hirons came on with 20 minutes to play and added the touch of class that had been missing as he proceeded to score 3 goals from 2 shots (dribbled one in)

Well I can see another interesting semi finals series coming up, the destroyers in TBF, the new A-League team froggies, and two teams that are almost unbreakable in scores whenever they play.

All I know, is I'm glad I'm on TBF's side of the draw

Edit: One interesting thing to note is 3 of the 4 teams were in the semis last season too

Yeah Frogs got me in round 5 last season.

well all 4 teams left are quality sides and it will be a cracking semi final next week. I wish all 4 sides well and look forward to the matches. Achmid is the only one out of the 4 left, yet to make a cup final appearance, might just well be their turn this season.

Hard to argue with the finalists given the results in the semis.

Good Luck to both teams.

Thanks mate, I certainly would never have called such decisive scorelines in the semi finals, but I am very happy to make the finals for the first time.

I have just managed to come up against undoubtedly the best team in Australia at present, but hopefully I will be able to prevent him from winning the cup

since this latest ME change boosting the effects of PM, TBF have been almost impossible to beat, think they've only lost 1 game in that time. Hard to see it changing any time soon, they just continually prove to dictate against sides and are far too deadly.

I hope for a close game next week and it's certainly a game of the top 2 sides from last season taking it out against each other. Out of all the Australian sides, Achmids have the best chance of restricting TBF as IMO they have the best Australian defense, although others might argue that point.

The question will come down to will Achmids be able to rise to the occasion in their 1st Australia Cup final and take out their first major title, or will TBF show experience counts and add a 2nd Cup title to their trophy case?

Well I finally watched the match against the frogs, and I tell you what, my players could do nothing wrong in that first half.

The match was definitely closer then the scoreline suggests, and I must say, something appeared "weak" about both sides defenders. I know my players would not normally be dribbled like that and I wouldn't expect the Frogs defence to be dribbled so easy.

Anyway, for me it is good to see our matches result flipped around and hard luck to naph to go down by such a big scoreline also.

Just one more week to see who the Aus cup champ will be this season, I'm certainly hoping I can beat the almost "untouchable" side of TBF
