Asunto: Competition Season 13

2008-09-10 12:04:32
Ohh this is U21... scratch my last post ill take walker.
2008-09-12 16:22:39
Yep as some have already mentioned this is an U21 match. I'll have everything back updated tomorrow during the day sometime, haven't had a great past two weeks, but I'll make sure I get it done.

This is also the final round of the competition so this is really the last chance to move up any positions.
2008-09-12 16:46:40
as if i'd really have any chance to move up any >.>
2008-09-12 16:52:37
probably unlikely now but who knows, you might get 1 player play no one else has and the engine end into an endless passing rally between your player and another player you have and well catch up that way.

I think the likeliness of that is pretty close to 0% but I guess whilst there is still some sort of a chance anything is possible.
2008-09-13 16:38:48
Whitley from myself for the final round of competition.
2008-09-13 16:51:05
Jamie Whitley for my captain too
2008-09-16 06:55:32
A lot of updating will be taking place here over the next 3-4 hours. Managed to find some time to get the final results out. I'll update the Croatia,Uruguay and Venezuela matches and then close the competition ready for the competition match against Guatemala in approximately 2 weeks time.
2008-09-16 07:33:08
2 rounds to go now as Croatia results are up on page 18-19. To keep it brief jkhtong1 won the round with 166 points ahead of vivski with 150. Vivski still leads the competition by a comfortable margin but jkhtong1 moves up to 3rd ahead of myself. Achmid and Tigermaster both jumped 1 spot each as Schmick fell 2 places.

With that done, time to move onto Uruguay :). Results up in about an hour. Question is can vivski be caught, with 2 rounds left, I don't think it's very likely.

Who Scored What In Round 13?

Wesley Broxton - 64 points (20 acc pass, 11 tck out)
Tony Nikas - 28 points (9 tck out, 6 acc pass)
Brendan Ando - 25 points (5 fmb save, 4 acc pass, 2 cln save)
Jeremy Timpano - 25 points (11 acc pass, 3 acc head, 1 tck out)
Andy Willis - 17 points
Carl Richter - 17 points
Noah Baveas - 16 points
Greg Cunico - 15 points
Clint Oliveira - 13 points
Scott Stephenson - 12 points
George Mangos - 10 points
Jose Maras - 9 points
Lucas Howarth - 8 points

Broxton had a field day in an otherwise low scoring team. No bonus points were scored and the side ended qualification in devastation as we went down to Uruguay 3-2. Nikas performed reasonably well at the back but got exploited on several occasions. Ando the third best with 25 points which included 7 saves. Back with points in around 5 minutes.

12) Sriram - 905 points
13) krayzee - 873 points
14) sx890410 - 757 points
15) neoatomium - 690 points

Jkhtong1 moves up 1 spot to 2nd after coming home in a hurry and has taken the last 2 rounds. Problem for jkhtong1 is vivski was able to piece together solid performances both weeks as well and so the gap is still out above 150 with 1 round left. Other movers was Cloete ahead of oowie and Sriram jumped krayzee. In terms of performances I got the highest score for those without Broxton and look to be out of the running for a podium finish. 8,9,10 look to be the biggest fight for any position shuffling in the final week, most others seem to be too far away to move up a spot, well other than jkhtong1 v borkos007 showdown in the final round ;).

This was definitely an interesting competition, much more interesting than the tipping competitions of the past. (I'm not a fan of tipping comps.)

cometer> Do you have any stats about the total points scored per player? Then we could have stats like:
> Most points
> Highest point efficiency (points scored / cost)
> Dream Team

Then some of the numbers could be tweaked for next season (if you do plan to run it again. I know it's a lot of work.)
2008-09-16 11:25:36
I actually had intended to do up stats as a kind of conclusion to the competition, including things like

most points
highest points in a single round
highest team scores in a single round
highest scoring by position
highest number of accurate passes
highest number of tackles outside the box
dirtiest player (most fouls etc)
most on target shooter (shots on target / total shots)

hadn't thought of efficiency or dream team but they'd be easy enough to do as well.
2008-09-16 11:30:19
Should have known you had everything already planned ;)
2008-09-16 11:32:38
when's the competiton side gonna be used again?
2008-09-16 11:33:56
not this saturday, but next saturday (week 1) against Guatemala.
2008-09-16 11:35:54
it's another reason scores have taken a while to update each week as I had kind of planned to have something at the end to see where things could be improved etc. I found the first few matches of the new animations quite difficult to work out in closely contended situations whether a tackled b or if a fumbled and b got the ball but after a few weeks it came a lot easier.
