trouto [del] para Todos
is it worth buying a young player without knowing their talent? I find it difficult to part with heaps of cash for an unknown player!

a lot of players I buy I don't know their talent because there are only so many players that make it into my shortlist worth training.

However other A-League teams may require a talent screenshot

Its part of the reason I have never really bought ultra-young players.

At the moment I'm aiming for players with a certain total-skill at a certain age. That allows me a pretty good idea of whether they are talented or not. That method isn't really feasible for lower div teams without the $$$ though.

I find it difficult too...
but if he's a juniors and you do the sum of his skills you might guess his overall skill when he got out of the YS which could give you a vaguish clue about the talent...

I did gamble about a polish juniors the other day.. his sum of skills was 40 which means he left his YS as outstanding(12)or incredible(13) (cf Newbie forum - Juniors Skills)... knowing that a juniors will be in the school max 30 odd weeks and that the maximum initial general skills when they enter the YS I've seen was Good I thought the kid must have be ok...
It turned out that he has popped twice in tech in 5 weeks!

If he's not a juniors I would ask for a graph...

Well, it should only take 5-6 weeks to work out if they're talented. With very young players, you can expect pops every 3 weeks.
Worst case is you lose 5-6 weeks training to gamble on a youngster.

Or you can buy young Aussie players with known talent.
Some managers might even agree to conceal the player's talent and put them on TL at a nice time if you agree a price first.

The Israeli method of getting rich (just making generalisations here, have a look in Juniors Transfer forum and you may see why.)

Step 1: Buy a nice distribution 16y striker early in the season. (Do not buy a Polish guy.)

Step 2: Train a skill (pace/tech/striker) for a short while, getting some pops; and most importantly, the talent screen!

Step 3: Put on TL, advertise on Junior Transfers forum; do not forget to say "FUTURE NT STAR" and "UBER TALENT".

Voila, enjoy your millions!
