Asunto: S14 - The Australia Cup

If anyone have any doubt about the importance of goalkeepers watch the cup game I had. If you do not have a lot of time just watch the first 15 minutes.

That I only scored 3 and that TBF didn't score is just unbelievable!

Also happy my new tactic made especially for TBF worked :)

Losing my holding midfielder due to a red card after 1 minute gave me absolutely no chance.

True. That put your midfield wide open. But still feel my tactics matched yours quite good. Also I did lose a player when you got the red card and got someone not close to that class in.

It would have been a completely different game without the red card, but feel I still would have had a chance (if Bonano only would be "human" a few times).

Chelsea next, and I just cannot see how I will win this one if they field their best 11.

This could turn into a long match between tribe and myself, but then again, one of us may try something fancy with our tactics and really bugger ourselves up

but there's always penalties... it's a good thing really cause otherwise you two might still be at it at xmas...

well...it's not like I have anything better to do then watch a good close contest between Tribe and myself.

And as far as mind games goes...I was actually commenting on a tactic I made last season (I think) against tribe and got smashed...and besides that games, the past few seasons have seen way too many draws

I no longer have a best eleven. Three of them will be missing.

I will probably only miss two, well... depending on whoever gets a yellow card over the weekend.

Should be an interesting game, but you are clear favorite.

I tried something new last weekend and it turned into our most boring match ever.

that quite often happens between Achmid and myself :p. Think we've had a couple of games where shot count has been low, including the qualifier where I won in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 120minutes ;).

Was the tactic made to achieve a boring game? In that case it would be a success.

So many times I've been well beaten that I would rather have taken a boring game :P

I was happy enough defensively (I normally have to score 3 or 4 to have a chance at the points)

The offense left a lot to be desired. The form of Croxall and Hirons certainly didn't help either as they sat on the ball and waited to be tackled instead of shooting.

That match was crazy.

I was almost certain the game was going to rob me of the win.

After early domination by tribe, the Soul managed many on target shots on to have the Tribe keeper desperatly lunge and stop the ball from going in. And then after having two injuries to defenders, I was just thinking...sometimes you can just tell when a game doesn't want you to win, but with 6 minutes remaining a soft equaliser was let in, and in the dying seconds, another goal was conceeded by Tribe to allow Achmids Soul to take the match 3-2

It certainly looked like we were playing to defend our 2-1 advantage for much of the second half. Very unhappy with the way we continually kicked the ball out, you'd think I had a bunch of weak-weak PM/Passers out on the pitch.

There were a number of Soul chances I'd have felt fine losing too, but to let in the two that I did was disappointing.

On the plus side, I know where that tactic needs some refining.

Have not watched the whole game but seems like I blew to many chances. Wathced both Jestr... and Moska fail to convert some big ones at 1-1.

Chelsea got two players back just in the for the game and nothing I could do about that. Happy to go as far as this, but most certainly had hoped I had been able to take it one round more.
