Asunto: Ranking
Last time I checked, I was 12th....then in the space of 3-4 weeks, up to 9th & within distance of a couple of others. :)
Nice. I've dropped down to 5th unfortunately. Will probably go in to the Aus cup with a 5th rankings
That will be the aim but Rangers probably won't go away this season & I have 3 on the market now that they've done their job in keeping me from auto relegation...figured better to accept the play-off & offload now than wait for them to age a year & get far less for them. :)
Will do some scouting on the likely opposition to see if any problem areas.
I recall WA FoS having high attack rating with virtually nothing in def/mid. Need to check other 2 or 3.

Yep some of them might have a spattering of decent player, but 15mins spent setting a custom tactic will destroy that.
I've been using one tactic since my return....with slight variation (so now 2 tactics) once I hit A League. :)
So yes, maybe time for another tactic...if needed.

It's going to be tough, but I'll be trying to get back to 4th in ranking by the time Aus Cup draw is out.
The hard bit is regardless of the result in the Q match, I will be losing ranking points, which means I need to make up any deficit in my one friendly match afterwards.

It may not even be possible after this weekends match as peagusus has a +10 point lead now, and will get +25 more than me for the same result, so I need to make up 35 points in my final match, giving up 25 points due to rating difference.
So I need approx 60+ points from the score part of the match, which I'm not actually sure is possible.

Yeah not possible :(
y = mx + n
y -> number of points that a team will win (os lose if it`s negative)
x -> difference of ranking
m -> a constant: -0.02876
n -> depends on the match result, for example:
1-0 -> n=29.29
2-1 -> n=24.16
3-2 -> n=19.54
4-3 -> n=16.79
5-4 -> n=14.93
2-0 -> n=37.59
3-1 -> n=36.09
4-2 -> n=32.02
3-0 -> n=42.14
4-1 -> n=42.14
6-3 -> n=36.93
5-0 -> n=46.61
8-0 -> n=48.95
So winning 8-0 against a team;
1000pts less = gain 20 points
2000pts less = lose 8.5 points
3000pts less = lose 37 points
Interesting because there's almost 3000pts difference between the top and bottom ranked team in the A-League.

UPDATE:
Peg loses 4 pts after that win.
I lose about 17.
therefore ahead by about 23 prior to the final match. Will lose 27 points due to rating difference, so need to make up 50 points. Which will be approximately a 15-0 victory required. LOL!

Not sure how I messed up my last calculation, but according to my new one with the definite updated figures, this went from unlikely to doable.
Need to win 2-0, 3-1, 4-1, 5-2, 6-3.
Will be interesting
