Asunto: New User Thread
Its killing our sponsorship money in the lower league. With this new rule of starting in a higher league, they should change the starting number of fans to say 300.
Shouldn't kill it that much (10k-20k perhaps in our case) except in the case of having a well established team suddenly gone replaced with a new team. The rest of the sponsorship money falling would largely be due to your own supporter mood.
Not stating whether it's the correct opinion, but teams need to come in as quickly as possible to keep their attention. Forcing sides to wait 2-3 weeks just to reach mid season or end of season can often remove interest.
On that basis, they have to come in somewhere. I guess the only possible alternative is to accept them when they come but put them in a sort of training/initiation phase where they learn concepts of the game, still get matches against other fellow signups, have access to the forums and transfer market but participate in their own league (like a friendly league) and then at the midway mark or at end of season they then transfer across to the main competition at the lowest/second lowest position.
That wouldn't solve the sponsorship issue but might remove the "unfairness" factor.
The sponsorship issue I'm not really so worried about. You need to reward those in harder leagues to stay in the harder leagues and attract more sponsorship money because their fan moods will be jumping all over the place as results are harder to achieve. Certainly unfortunate but suddenly you've got a nice easy win you didn't have before and that should almost offset that in the long run.
Anyway sending off a skmail to the latest users :)

Trying have all the well established teams replaced (5 of them). I think I'm down 20k-30k this year through no fault of my own. My fans are madly in love all the time. That is a lot of money for me.
5 of them already in your league alone?
I can only recall 2 + any that relegated, the major one being Yogic's Army which would have taken a bit off. JB was only around for 1-2 seasons.
Don't really want to waste this thread's main purpose but I'd be somewhat interested to know of actual losses to back this up (most likely through skmail) because I'm blind in that I can't see what's happening because I'm not in those lower leagues.
There are different degrees of mood levels I believe, especially if those plus graphs are anything to indicate. You'll get less sponsorship money due to any loss/draw that your fans aren't expecting. You'll also get more if average league ratings fall significantly (hence where the new team entrance hurts).

Uber is right...
I'm down another 6k this week... I'm at 171k whereas I was on 192k last season...
It's hurting a bit but I still manage a 30k profit every fortnight. It's not the best way to make money and play catch up with higher teams. I can give you details of my sponsorship for the last two seasons and a half if you want the records...
In the meantime we've both welcome the newbie with open arm... :)

I agree! Welcome newbies! I would much rather have new human users start, it would just be nice if the developers recognised the problem and fixed it.
Growing in numbers again :). Hopefully we can keep most of them :).
New owner here - United Santander in III.11.
Hope some of you are active in that league!!

unfortunately most of the human users seem to be pretty new themselves, and none of the active users i've seen on the forums are in III 11, but there's always people active on the main forums :)

There has also been a huge increase in numbers since talking about it in battrick, so you may find yourself with another BT user

Well, it's my fault for being interested in a non-HT football game that has attracted a couple more methinks.
Myles here. Happy to be a part of the throng.

Anyway, this new user recruiting thing seems to be working ;)
