We have reached the minimum required number therefore the cup will run this season!

Let's get at least 8 more teams as I think 24 is achievable within our resources of users here.

I'm sure Chatreuse would benefit from playing. Tough for a new team but great opportunity to watch games by top managers.

If the comp gets underway with only 16 teams, I can always surrender my spot so he can play...

But it's up to him to sign up first... :)

Yeah see how we go with numbers in the end, I would give up my spot too if need be. To be honest in a few weeks I'm going to need game time for a bunch of juniors. A friendly league is probably going to be a bit less cut throat for them than a State Cup. With state pride on the line, no doubt there's going to be plenty of stars on show.....lol.

Anyway like I said, see how the numbers stack up and we'll go from there.

Just as a reminder the comp runs from week8 to week14 max (Depending on format). Week 15 is free for everyone to organise their annual grub encounters.

Here's the deal concerning the two possible pre-defined formats:

1/ 16 teams format:
- 4 groups of 4 teams -> top 2 qualifies for "State Trophy", bottom get to play "State Shield"
- State Trophy -> 1/4 then 1/2 then Final; plus ranking games 3rd place, 5th place and 7th place
- State Shield -> 1/4 then 1/2 then Final; plus ranking games 11th place, 13th place and 15th place
- 6 games for every team registered, Wk8 to wk13
- possibility to set the 4 groups as friendly leagues if wanted.

2/ 24 teams format:
- 4 "friendly leagues" of 6 teams -> group winners qualifies for State Trophy (1/2, final and 3rd place); 2nds play 5th-8th classification; 3rds play 9th-12th etc etc
- 7 games for every teams registered, Wk8 to Wk14

Once everybody is ranked, points will be awarded according to final standing, top best 3 scores count towards the State Cup for each state.
I'm lining towards the V8 supercars scoring system to keep things thight until the end...

At the moment we're on the 16 teams format with 2 teams on the waiting list. If we find another 6 teams I close the entries and do the draw.
From the past registrations I can see some major name missing like the Gunge, the Frogs, Krayzee, Chelsea, PRT (so long...)... Newbies are also welcome to join the banter and get some feedback from the active users that are taking part.
