Mate your keeper had a blinder...that's the kind of stuff you would put in a highlights package...as opposed to my teams corner kicking.

Was a good game from my point of view, but probably not hugely entertaining for everyone else as it was completely one sided traffic.

As you can imagine, I'm very happy here, and my two housemates kept saying I had it in the bag from about the 40th minute mark, which anyone who knows sokker knows it isn't but I know they were saying it just to stir me.

It was a tough one for me to set up with my strikers in horrible form. I made the decision to play 5.4.1 and try and win possession and stop you at the back. With one of my midfielders injured maybe that was a poor decision.

On reflection I am a bit bemused how poorly Buski and Krzyzalphabet played as my holding mids. They are both gun players and were both passengers.

My poorest decision probably the decision to create a new tactic two hours before kickoff while slightly inebriated. The throw-in options were a big miss (I forgot about those).

Either way. Glad to have made it to the final. And a worthy winner has been crowned.

I must admit the only changes I made were my throw-ins, figured that tactic got me to the final, so I would give it a shot at the final.

You also wouldn't be the only one to change their tactic whilst inebriated...and I think I have both pulled off some wins and losses from that exact situation.

Anyway, if you follow what I did, you will win the cup next season, and I will be knocked out 2 rounds prior to the final (by following in the TBF fashion)

That back 3, 3 upfield works wonders for your club ;). Works well for any defender trainer actually with decent side skills in passing/tech.

Thoroughly deserved. Been a pretty long wait for yourself to win a major title and it's certainly well overdue.

As for agbell, so close again. I know you had issues with strikers but I can't help but feel you were a little too defensive in general placement of players. Against a strong defensive team it makes it very hard if your striker gets the ball near halfway and is expected to go all the way before being tackled. Other than that I do realize you probably wouldn't have done that if you had a full strikeforce available and it's been a really good run from yourself to get this far. Perhaps next season you'll grab the Australia Cup but it certainly was Achmid's season.

3-3 is the bomb. Does take some skills though.

@Cometer: Yep spot on. With my striker issues I was hoping to get a goal on the break and hold out Achmid with a compressed-ish defense. I suspected he might've played his defenders further up the pitch in anticipation of catching out my limited strikeforce. So my idea was good in theory (I think), just didn't work in practice. The biggest disappointment is my four quality midfielders being completely unable to win possession to gift me that counter attack goal.
