GrA and GrC are all good to go!

2 teams havent registered in GrB and GrD... these 4 teams still have got their spot secure.
(TBF, TGS, Canberra and Cumlionibus)

Nevertheless, the competition needs a safety net. If these 4 teams fail to register by the time Vivski (GrB owner) and I (GrD owner) need to validate the Friendly league on sunday we will need back ups.
I encourage new teams to sign up for GrB and/or GrD anyway and put their name down here on the waiting list.
Vivski (GrB) and I (GrD) will validate our group on sunday night and will replace the teams that have failed to sign up with the ones on this waiting list so there's no misunderstanding.

Waiting list:
1- CNF / Fabian66 / NSW
2-

Good news is TBF and TGS have signed up for GrB (Vivski's) so it only needs Vivski to accept them and to activate his group today.

GrD (mine) is missing Canberra at the moment but CNF has signed up so if Canberra doesnt loggin before I head to bed then CNF will replace them...

It all looks very positive for the organisation of this season's State Cup so far :)

Oh dude. Don't say that. You're just asking for trouble! :P
2008-11-16 06:49:17
The only trouble that can happen is Vivski not validating his league today before midnight SK time...
that is very slim and I trust he will be there to check the result of his game today...

that said I'll remember you gave it the kiss of death if murphy's law strikes... :)
2008-11-16 06:53:00
worst case is they then play round robin friendlies the old fashioned way ;).
2008-11-16 06:57:06
oh... another kiss!
2008-11-16 07:02:28
anything to shift the bad luck from my club away :p.
2008-11-16 07:04:26
oh yeah that's it, dish it on the SC! :)
after last season's fiasco, it doesnt need it really...
2008-11-16 07:06:31
The cup will be fine, we've already got 2 groups running, you're all set for the 3rd, so we'll have at least 18 teams and vivski won't fail to start the group on time. Don't know why you're even worried ;).
2008-11-16 07:59:44
I dont know where you read I was??!
:P

Oh noo...trial and tribulation in the State Cup :)
2008-11-17 04:17:47
Thanks Fabian for being the spare wheel but everything went according to the plan. I'm sorry you'll be missing out on this year State Cup... there's always next season, watch this space...

Well, almost came a cropper but thanks to my phone and GPRS I was able to get the league started. :)
Good luck everyone!

2 more days until my internet is hooked up, yay! I will no longer have to spend my time out in the fresh air.

I will no longer have to spend my time out in the fresh air.

What's that? :p.

Haha seriously fresh air's always good if you get the chance anyway :). Looking forward to this state cup as well. Not expecting to win it or anything but it's just another hit up against a few up and coming teams and a great chance for those users to experience other type tactics from some of the more experienced managers.
2008-11-18 21:32:38
is he a fish? :p

The SC will definately be the place to try out tactics as every game is pretty much competitive in a way that the players on the field should be decents ones.
I'm going in with my trainees as promotion is definately my main objective this season, I expect a lot of people will go in with their trainees too which probably will level the field a bit more.

I will post the rules later but basically the friendly leagues makes it very easy to manage so there isnt much to worry about at this stage, except maybe it's essential to finish the league as high as possible if you want to score big points for your state.

I should have remembered Tong's nice off-side trap from last time we played, but I didn't. Classy goal for the Tong made it 1-1 at the half. Eventually we used our width well enough to create some decent chances. 3-1 win, but the result could easily have been different.
