Seriously though, it's the best chance managers have of experiencing what managing a NT is like and is the platform to taking over the 1st's in future seasons.

As for who should run, there are so many different candidates it just depends which ones decide to give it a shot. You just need to know how to use a tactical editor, some communication always goes a long way and probably most crucially time.

As much as I'd like too, I find the skills of players and comparing them as such the interesting part. I'm kind of over the tactical editor these days, just doesn't do it for me anymore

You, Minkee or Vivski should give it a try. It will give you experience so someone can be the next senior coach after cometer resigns :)

I do hope that the person who runs will have interest in managing the U-21 on long-term (we do not fire our coaches easily it seems) and perhaps take over from cometer one day (like that will ever happen ;)

I'm interested to do the interim while Tiger & Naph are in Europe at the only condition I have someone doing it with me full-time (could be more than 1 guy as well).
I've followed how NTs are run in various countries for a little while now and it's definately not a one man job in my opinion simply because time is of the essence and various opinions can be useful sometimes.

NT management was a target in 1-2 seasons time but I don't mind bringing it forward if it helps secure the U21 a spot in the WC. I would hate to see our community waste the opportunity knowing we could have done something while Tiger was away.

I don't mind running myself if I can find co-coach and vice-versa if someone want an assistant.

I seriously hope someone takes over some day. I don't really know if I want to be still managing the side in 10-15 years time :p.

Good to know we at least have 10 years to think about it before it becomes an issue ;)

I can't commit to that as much as you might want me to :p. I take it on a season by season case.

I'll see what other reactions my previous message generates before going further with what I said.
Some of us haven't yet contributed to this discussion and I want to hear everyone's opinion first.

Obviously your help would be invaluable to help starting things right.

My help has always been there and will continue to do so for whoever goes for the U21 position, whether that be an Australian manager or foreign manager.

I never doubted you'll be around to help as usual... :)

If you're exhausted as the Australia coach, I can always give you a one season break.
Not that I suggest you're doing bad, you're really good, just without luck from time to time :)

Not just from time to time ;) I'm sure davio will still be involved with the NT almost as much as he is currently, but one feels he may need a break? (including himself) Why not take over for a season or 3 Borkos? =)
