Not much you can do if it's not an intentional thing and even if it is almost impossible to prove. Definitely unfortunate.

I mean results like this happen in real life too. For example if you end up in a world cup and the teams in the top 2 places are playing each other and only need a draw to both progress, watch for that result to happen regardless of whether a particular team should win. Both have an incentive not to go full effort and conserve it for future matches so it's almost a certainty what you'll get. Or if you've already qualified you send in B/C teams etc.

The only thing you can control (and it's pretty hard to even do that here with rng) is your own results.

True, but if it's known or proven, then it's match fixing. :D
Hard to prove though.

So not sure if I misread the rules, or the changed, but we aren't out yet, we are in a knockout round against NZ

Bit of added spice. They’re ranked 15 places above us?

Yeah their ratings at in the 50s which is insane.

They have a few very dedicated international trainers, and a couple of local ones who have given up the game except just training players to the nth degree

Nice Trans-Tasman pre-quarters game, will be interesting to watch. In the future, we can also have some kind of a football tri-series of India, Australia, NZ, can certainly talk to our NT coach.

Make sure they all leave their bats & balls at home....to avoid confusion. :D

Took down NZ in the U21 Asian Cup 1/16th finals.
We are the first team to get an upset win, and what a time to do it.

If India win, we will have a showdown in in the Quarters.

Congrats on the amazing win! We too were almost humbled by Singapore if not for the last minute goal.

It was Agius taking out Baholo the minute before the 2nd goal that did the trick.
I take it that brown paper bag is being delivered. :D

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to prepare like I would have wanted too (15hrs driving today), but in the end it was the same old story.

Their Divine keeper played like a Divine keeper, ours played like a Formidable.

Both sets of strikers didn't do a lot, but we out shot them, and out positioned them, but the ME said it was not to be (we also gave away the fouls and the cards).

51% possession, 43% play in half, 13 shots to 8.

All I can do is make the better tactic and put the players in the right position, it's then up to the ME to approve or deny the victory, and in this case, it denied it.

As annoying as it was to get beaten more by the ME than the opposition, I do wish India the best and hopefully they can beat Israel in the next round (something we couldn't do in the Asian cup round robin)

Both sides really played well, really enjoyed the quarters game. It could have easily been 1-1 if not for a clever tackle from Zev in the 60th minute which kept the lead with us. Well played Australia!

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY, I'M RUNNING FOR U21 NT COACH AGAIN

And don't worry, I voted for myself, so we can stop the count

It's going to be a bit hit and miss the last couple of weeks, trying to hang ok to the current basket for the WCQ draw

Just say you will play u/20 and play with u/21....that will keep the ranking :P
