Asunto: National Team U21
Just say you will play u/20 and play with u/21....that will keep the ranking :P
Happy holidays to Australia
Happy holidays to Australia
Difficult task ahead of you in the qualifiers, mate. Will be hard to gain some extra rank points, when every team besides Egypt makes around 50 on the average marks.
Though I think you'll make our hearts best faster more than once :)

Yeah it's definitely a tough draw, only us and Misr don't rate 47+ and we were at 41 in our match.
Will be a tough group but will give it my best shot

First game we were up against the 3rd pot Moldova who prior to tonight rated in the 49's (us in the 41s).
It appeared like their U21 manager changed so was difficult to scout whether they would be using old Moldova tactics or the current coaches preferred tactics.
There have been some big changes in the off season to the ranking of our players in different positions, so it's been a bit of work getting that all done, and I hope to have the end of season work I try to do each season done ASAP.
As far as the game goes, Moldova dominated our defenders with their strikers tech/pace combo in the first 10min and it looked like it was going to be very painful, but after this, I'd say we actually had the wood over them the whole match.
Tactically, both the ones I used I think stood up well to them, and we had a very good shot at getting a second goal (would have been first at the time) when Greasy Van G hit the post from almost right in front.
We also lost a defender to a red card in the 2nd half meaning we were down to 10 players taking on their much stronger skilled team.
Overall though I am happy with the 1-1 draw, giving us a chance to steal the 3rd place spot, however all the teams from 3-6 pots are quite strong, which really is only good for positions 1 & 2 who should go through without any worries.
Giving up a 7pt rating advantage, a 1-1 draw is definitely a great result for Australia

Great score. Huge gap between the ratings but you stood up to them big time!
Great result & who knows with Moldova....might be they drop more points to the lower rank & file....let's hope so. Could be a lottery for 3rd-6th.
I am a bit late with this post, but to keep things consistent.
we say farewell to our current U21 team. Although not exhaustive, these are the players mostly used, who made this season what it was
GK - Farmer - Great skills, but poor performances. I hope he keeps getting trained but for a Divine keeper, he acted like a Solid one
DEF - Martinovic - a Serious beast. Lead the defensive line as a 19yo
DEF - Hoang - A great partner to Martinovic, and was one of our only first XI defenders who was in form
DEF - Collins - didn't actually play a lot due to form, but will do great when he gets back in form for the future
DEF - Inglis - found himself selected a lot due to being in form, will be back next year
DEF - Stephenson - as with inglis, could stay in form, and will be a great asset next season
MID - Hill - One of the strongest MIDs we have had in a long time, form deteriorated towards the back half of the season
MID - Prince - a great partner to Hill, and another Chelsea junior
MID - Van Gisbergen - finally moved from striker to MID this season for an all Chelsea midfield, and will be back again next season
ATT - Marth - this spot could have gone to a number of players but with his speed and tech, I have thrown him in here
ATT - Trajcevski - the absolute highlight of Australian strikers. Just 19, leading the strikers and we still get him for 2 more seasons
--------------------------------
GK - Borg - will be leading the way at GK next season. Only played in the U20 matches
ATT - Morgan - Also played at Defender. Was great no matter where he played
ATT - Zane - Once again hotly contested. Always a toss up with form
DEF - Aguis - Another fantum defender showing how it is done, and will play a lot more next season
MID - Brosque - saved from a bot team and regularly subbed on to the park. Will be a mainstay next season

Now some rushed underage groups.
If your player isn't selected here, it doesn't mean they won't make it. I may have overlooked, they may have the same skills and I just had to pick one, or form may get them, so keep training

So brief rundown.
I actually forgot all about this post, so am a couple of weeks late, and my squad isn't settled yet, but lets continue the stats
So where are we now?
Users: 12 --> 13 --> 17 --> 20 -->20
Rank: 50 --> 54 --> 52 --> 60 --> 62
Rank points: 1587.30 --> 1554.23 --> 1598.71 -->1344.67 --> 1196.70
Number of players: 38 --> 40 --> 40 --> 40 --> 40
Average form: excellent --> excellent --> very good --> excellent --> Formidable
Average age: 19.9 --> 19.9 --> 19.5 --> 19.5 --> 19.3
Average value: 518 811 AU$ --> 373 570 AU$ --> 338 350 AU$ --> 352 310 AU$ --> 352 360 AU$
Total value: 19 714 800 AU$ --> 14 942 800 AU$ --> 13 534 000 AU$ --> 14 092 400 AU$ --> 14 094 400
So we have managed to keep the average value fairly stable despite losing the value of a divine keeper, which is fantastic, it means we are a little stronger throughout the field (or I have an increased number of keepers in the squad)
We are still over 25% down in value compared to what the previous NT manager had all those seasons ago, which is shown in our rank, but we are having more locally trained youths playing, and more people are getting on board with training, and making money to buy our youths, so the future looks strong.
Despite a slight drop in rank, we actually had a pretty good season, doing better than anyone expected in the U20 Mini World cup, including knocking over Malta U21 who were rated 5pts higher than us, to get us in to the final 16, where we lost to a semi-finalist (Norge U21 rating 8pts more than us)
We then played some friendlies....they were rough, thanks Farmer
And then we got back in to the tournament side of things where we played in the U21 Asian cup, getting knocked out in the quarter finals despite dominating the Indian team.
This coming season we have the World Cup Qualification, and as Vampyr said, we have an extremely hard group.
All teams except us and Misr rate 47+ in their first match of the new age group (we rated 41 in that match).
We are one match in, and managed to get a draw against Moldova which was a very even match (50% possession, 50% play in half, 7 shots a piece) despite Moldova having a 7pt rating advantage (51.6 vs our 44.7)
As always, feel free to contact me about anything, whether it's looking for advice, giving advice, any ideas, or anything else which you wish to discuss

Haha I have Ashton down as 7 (I listed top 6 above), but I think he is also due for pops, so probably just poor timing of my post :P
Primary combination he is equal to 3rd, just behind based on secondaries
