Asunto: National Team U21

Below is the current U21 and U19 squads. This is just for a bit of fun, a lot of players only just missed out and I expect many players not in these lists to play for the Australian sides so don't take this as gospel.

Now for a bit of fun, here are the teams

A good final game before the qualifications commence.

3-0 against a team rating 4 points higher and dominating the shot count 10-2.

Also managed to notch up a cap for some of our young guys to protect them from being fired/team going bot in the future.
Our defence line held strong, although already have 30 caps between the 4 at the back.

Lang did great up front scoring all 3 goals

Good result yet again. Now go and beat Hungary :)

So this week is the start of our world cup group campaign and we have an absolute doosy up front.

I'm always up for the challenge but this one will be a bit one. The number 1 pot in our group is Hungary, rating 55.7 last match vs our rating 41.4 (and that was before our injuries).

Even the number 3 pot we happened to draw gets mid 40s ratings.

It will certainly be a fun campaign whatever happens, and if anyone manages to sneak some points off Hungary, it will be a huge boost

Tonights match will be against Hungary.

As stated previously, it will be an incredibly tough game given we are at a huge ratings disadvantage but I will give it a shot.

As far as the team lineup goes, we are missing 3 starters due to injuries, all who will be missing for 2-3 games unfortunately. I have consequently removed them from the squad temporarily whilst I bring in their replacements, but they will be selected once fully fit again.

With an 8pt rating difference, we did everything we could and got very close to getting a point with a 1:2 loss.

Given we were missing 3 of our first team through injuries, this is a pretty good result and the team performed very well.

Provided Azerbaijan don't manage to take a point off Hungary, it has set us up nicely with goal defence

Well that's annoying, didn't get around to settng the lineup (missed out by 15minutes) after getting caught up with some jobs.

Match is still underway but I can see the scoreline so not sure what team I went in with to lose 1-0.


This will make qualifying for the finals stage much harder

Now the report is out, I see it was one of those games.

It's been a rough season so far. Thankfully got the win this time, but need more goals than that

This ME really is doing a good job at making me fall out of love with this game

36 shots for 4 goals. Terrible

The points matter most but we won't be beating anyone on for and against and if they keep up with this conversion rate, then we just won't be beating people

Our next match is against Azərbaycan who have probably their strongest U21 side in a number of seasons which is why they were third pot but with a rating the same as our first pot.

We are going in with approximately an 8pt disadvantage, so we are certainly not favourites.

Unfortunately with the ME screwing us around this season, if we lose either match against them, it will be very hard to make it out of the group stage (unless Azərbaycan also gets screwed over against one of the lower teams).

But, we have beaten harder teams before, so will never give up. Hopefully the terrible conversion rate we have received this season can turn around in our favour

Despite us giving up a decent point advantage, and having the better tactic with more shots, we come away with a draw.
I guess tactics only go so far and the lack of finishing once again cost us, but it was good to know we can make up that point advantage against a country with probably their best team in quite a while.

On the other hand, it probably also seals our place in 3rd after we got rorted against prathet thai. It will be nice to play in the mini world cup again and test our abilities there in the off season

Well that’s a pretty ordinary result. How many rng rolls did they do for that result. Terribly unlucky but again nothing really surprising either which is the sad part. Sorry you end up with that score line.

Dominated Azərbaycan twice and deserved 6 points, ended up with 1 point.
We should be going through to the group stage but sokker has decided not to give it to us.

Over two games we had 26 shots to 16 with 1 goal to 2.

Very disappointing and one of the worst things in sokker that the RNG can do this kind of thing on a regular basis against certain teams, it takes away any point of putting time in to tactics if all it means is a win in field position and shots, but not in score.

And the terrible conversion season continues

This season is honestly so frustrating
