Asunto: National Team U21

And im really sry for a blunder... we had 2 injuries yesterday that I couldnt check for. I just started very psychique demanding job on an estate with garden and farmish work, im not used to work, not used to get early up, and I havent even done sports last 5 years... the boss is trying to be a mentor to me, get my life back straight after 10 years as a gambler and many other bad stuff.... I want to take it very seriously.... I have put alarms to check everything is correct next friday

I have noticed recently that there are probably only half a dozen Aussies posting youths, and probably aren't posting all of them (I know I don't post every youth myself).

It may be worth making a list of requirements for each age and position (GK, Def, Mid, Winger, ATT) based on skill points, where you would like to hear about the youth before they get sacked.

For Def, I suspect having two sets of requirements (one for just Pace+Def and one for Pace+def+tech+play) because you can definitely play defenders without secondaries, but knowing about players with secondaries could be good longer term too.

It would be a bit of work to find a nice line where the numbers give some indication but also where people aren't sacking potential players.

And just FYI to those who haven't been part of the NT for a while, I know when I was NT manager, I would like to see all 16 and 17yos regardless of what they looked like, because they can look terrible and come out amazing

I Will go through all u20 of all aussies in top 50 value in each position each age. like i did midseason past season, meaning i go through all of potential and add missing... it was how that 40'ish got added last. I only need people to give me data if in doubt of training/sell/position in db... the aim is to do it at least two, preferably three times a season

I use sktables nt scouting tool for it, then add in sa.. I wish I could just add all by a click and the use skill formula to filter them... cause it Takes couple of hours

An regarding to sacking, nobody should be sacked unless unsaleable, the wage you pay for trying a few times sale before sack, is peanuts

Maybe the younger ones could use 5-6 updates a season... but I will max have time for 3... if you want to be working as a scout instead just access to database, like updating taking turns with me, I would appreciate

I do though have a good feeling most (close to all) potential nt are catched by either training or sell

For sure we are in very top regarding to % of players trained internal, and especially the better the players is

A guide line for what they should look like at certain ages is though a onetime job, so im not all no on doing it at some point.

But people would have to use formulas then, cause often players Are unbalanced in early age, and as you said sometimes low secondaries or Even still unbalanced when getting to u21, is still usable

Completely up to you if you decide to or not. Just coming up with ideas for how people can use a 'self serve' way to determine whether a junior is worth training or not, and this obviously changes each season depending on how those trainees are looking.

From conversations with people, even experienced ones, I've been shocked at some great players being thought to be useless by their manager, a few who were sacked before I ever got to see them (I saw them as a junior pulled in the league page, then contacted the manager) or one player in particular who was our #1 or #2 player of their position for the age, receiving only occasional training (by someone who was committed to training for Aus), because somehow they thought they weren't good enough...and by the time I saw he didn't seem to be keeping his advantage and I enquired, it was too late.

But it is difficult to do to find the right balance at the u21 level, less so at the senior level.

Well I will look into more efficient scouting very soon, but there is also wc right now and I have My son a lot during his 6 weeks school break here now...

But My general impression is that most Australians are training very efficient and dont just throw out before they tried at least sale if needed. I think they grew experienced and well guided by you.

If you have some spare time now and then, id love for you to have any kind of involvement you like. I could also take any other aussie community member helping with scouting, tactic analyze and communication..... Even there Are only 20 Australians and some foreigners commited, there Are lots of things that can be optimized even further.... both manual labor of updating stuff but also fun Duties ...
And this help would be very welcome from anyone wanting to get involved, just write me.
It can even be less experienced who wants to be nt coach themselves in future. I would be very happy to help ensure we even have some more who could step up.

That's totally fair. Focusing on real life first, then the world cup, should definitely be a priority.

To users not currently involved with NT's, I definitely recommend anyone who wants to get more out of the game, or enjoys the data or statisical stuff to get involved. Even if you only want to see one thing (maybe it's the history of the team, or top team for age group etc.) get involved, and share the information you have learned in a fun way that the community will enjoy. I definitely enjoyed doing this as NT coach, and believe people enjoyed it even if there were times where there were no replies.

I know for myself, my interest came about when I was first looking like having players who may play for the NT, and I wanted to see how far off my player was and what others looked like. This then developed into the tactical side and eventually into becoming an NT coach and wanting to share my own enthusiasm. I am still enjoying checking out how players I have previously been involved with have developed both in the U21s and the seniors.

Yes exactly... and tactical advice or learning can also be part of helping me if interested....

All set for tomorrow, our average form on the start 11 and 5 substitutes is 13,25.... which is extremely good... and if form didnt exist in the game, only two could be added and coming in as last substitues... only injured or carded player is a substiton striker ... im really thrilled about this...

Hope somebody watches the game, especially with thrill of not knowing result.... let the world cup begin

Yes, only minor details could be better.... the team did as I wanted them too.... we were close to being in total control, but we had though little trouble producing chances

No team is easy, but based on ratings alone (not taking into consideration manager skill, tactics etc.), you just beat the 2nd highest rated team. Well Done
