Hi all...

Can you please update your U20 players in the NTDB before Friday?

Thanks. :)

just done a sweep through my team for the NTDB....pretty skint for 20yo's but a couple of promising 18 & 17yo's (add a year next week!). :-)

Very good. This is a funny time of the season, 'cos players who looked like nothing special suddenly become stars of the future when the current generation vanish.

We have little choice but to select the players we know about.

I'm just happy Patterson is good for another year in U21....2 weeks of stam' training coming up!!
2009-12-11 11:55:58
Patterson is a gun!

Job done tonight! The goal was to to keep them to 0 shots. In the end they managed 2 (and look what they did with the 2nd).

We were the stronger team, but they went very defensive so I'm happy to've scored. :)

I hope Barnes gets a partner in crime at some point next season. Otherwise, expect to see more 1-striker tactics.

It wasn't a big win, but still very encouraging for next season.
2009-12-11 14:45:50
totally owned them....their goal wasn't as good as our first though! :-)

durante's getting striker training. pity he's on bad form right now

Looks like a group of life for us there. I think we should be able to qualify from a top 2 quite comfortably and make back to back u21 world cups.
2009-12-12 09:50:47
hello to everybody, looks that your feature coach will must qualify for world cup. I have just put up my candidature for your young national team and I want to win.
2009-12-12 10:07:56
That's great news! Particularly as we look to have a fairly strong team this season.

We seem to be alternating between good DEFs and good DMs each season. Some of our best players still have another season in them as well. :)

Viv
Are you running for the U21 post...last time I looked it was full of o/s candidates (some quite annoying with their spamming).
2009-12-13 06:46:16
Don't worry. One of us in the current management team will nominate.

All will be revealed soon.

We have Latvija to deal with this week. We'll be playing U21 B-team to protect our WCQ players.

And the electorate will must vote what you propose? this is mean? I see that you are a very proud nation and you want to be leaded by one of yours, but a user with only a few months experience in this game I think is a joke, even is australian.
2009-12-13 13:29:33
For our U21 NT, both vivski and Minkee have been around for ages, so I don't see where's the problem.
2009-12-13 15:14:04
Geremy, I expect the community to vote for me & Minkee because we are experienced, active managers who have done a good job with the U21 NT for the last 2 seasons. Not because we are Australian.

You will find that we welcome friendly managers from outside Australia.
We generally support managers who are active in our forum because that's a big part of what the NT is about.

Also, the U21 NT is run by 3-4 very experienced local managers, not 1. :)

Everyone is free to vote for whoever they want.
