Asunto: National Team U21
Congratulations to the Australian community. We have qualified for the 2nd time running for the U21 World Cup.
Believe it's the 3rd consecutive time now for a 100% qualification rate. Not that it matters anyway because it doesn't change the fact you've done a great job at getting us there. I thought you probably went a little easy on Andorra by not really changing tactic and as a result our strikers were often missing in action due to being marked by 2dm's and 2 central backs but we were still good enough to take a couple of chances.
Overall though it's been a good season for our U21's and it will be interesting to see how we go against stronger teams next season.

Yeah, it's a very impressive result. Congratulations to all those who contributed to this success :)
Another fantastic result for this team. 0-0 against France is nothing to sniff at. Our chance at finishing 1st in the group is gone, but coming 2nd is still awesome!
I thought we had much better chances than France, but stupid Leijer just wouldn't shoot when through 1-on-1 with the keeper a couple of times. Our defence was epic just like every other game this season. I really didn't feel worried at all when France went forward. I can't remember Elrich having to make any real saves.

a bit unfortunate that o'neill couldn't play more U21 games, since i started the team on pace a bit late. hopefully he'll be 3x incredible by the end of next season :)
Another win....with 3 of my boys in the back 4...shame they it's their last season.
Well done Uber....it's been a great season for the U21s.

It has been a great season and mainly based on awesome defensive displays. I'm going to miss this team.
Next week's friendly against France will be played with U20's to get a look at future talent.

The defensive talent you have in your team is incredible. All 5 of your defensive line have represented Aus NT U21. The fact you can do so well wih 3 21yos and 2 23yos is great.
fantum is important for Oz now with all the managers switching to midfield training.
LOL.....I've been training pass/tech recently! More to give my def 23 & 21 yo's a boost in that department. Patterson is 17 def, 16 pace, but needs a lift in tech/pass to make it to the NT.

Without actually looking through your players, generally tech and pm are a little more important than pass, but you know, getting all their levels above good is a solid start, then having pass trail pm and tech by two levels is what I considered a rounded player.
although this player isn't a good example of this, here is one trainee I made.
superdivine pace unearthly defender
solid technique formidable playmaker
outstanding passing solid striker
and, due to priorities, actually stopped training him at the age of 22, so you can imagine what kind of monster he could have been

Can everyone update their players in the NTDB please? The world cup is in 3 more weeks and we need to clear out the decrepit 22 year olds and make sure we know who our best players are. thanks!

Good win. Ecuador never really threatened and Elrich perhaps got one of his lowest marks.

Always good to see your GK do nothing and get a super low mark. Shows the rest of the team is doing well. Our team mark would have been quite high if Elrich gets a 90.
I really liked our passing in that game. The midfield knocked it around nicely. I will rest any suspension candidates next week.

We have a soft game against Senegal this week to avoid any cards or injuries before the start of the world cup next week. There are a lot of new faces and a lot of gun youngsters coming through.

Our first World Cup game against Columbia is due to start at 11:30sk time. It will be a very tough game, but one we could potentially win. Fingers crossed....
