Several questions to keep you busy with your new role (and sink your club!):
- Any info on who's gonna make the U21 player wise?
- Are you going to get the list from Cometer or are you going to start from scratch again?
- Are the NTU21 requirements still the same?
- Do you want us to send you our players or do you want us to use the same database site you used for Malaysia (very nice tool by the way...)?

I can answer all 5 questions but since it's directed to Tigermaster I'll let him do it but basically I haven't sent off the db yet, been doing a few bits and pieces (age updates,trimming etc) He should have the db today sometime though :).

At present Dave and I will be discussing these things in person in a couple of hours. Currently there is still the DB that Dave has and I will be getting that off him later today.

Info on U21's player wise - I'd need to see the DB before I can make any real decisions as to who will make the U21s squad/line up
The idea is to get the list from Dave. Certainly not planning on starting from scratch again.
I will have a look at the U21 requirements and have a look at the players before adjusting the NTU21 reqs.
Best bet will be to send the players to either myself or Dave currently (As he still has the DB). What we will be discussing today is how we will be implementing the change over to the NTDB site (which has proved incredibly helpful) the one that I was using for Malaysia.

Having 1 player (and maybe 2 in the future) that makes (or can make) the U21 makes you the prime "target" for my questions now as I have no NT material for Dave any longer...

Yeah... have to say I'd be the first person to win an election without an election speech in Australia however! =) I believe I did say more to come later under my name in the Election speech when I put my name up ;) I dont think that "later" has come yet :P

Later never comes, I mean, what's the point of later...your election speech comprised of this...

Currently from What I have seen of the DB, Australia has a very Solid defence, a high quality Keeper, and a decent midfield. Unless we find some good quality Strikers, our strike force is what seems to be lacking. Hopefully we can find some U21 Strikers soon

How do you find players? Do you have to pray that people SK them in or can you actively search for players?

Sorry if this was meant to Tigermaster, just thought since it's a fairly common NT manager thing I could quickly answer it since I'm online and Tigermaster isn't ;).

There's a combination of things. Genuinely you have to rely on them being sent to the NT manager.

Other things to help include:

- Observing the transfer list for Australian talent (should do this fairly regularly to pick up prospects without having to ask)

- Dream team site (when it was working was useful for identifying high achieving players you didn't have)

- Youth thread (helps significantly to even put them on the radar as a lot get posted on in that thread)

- Advertising requirements on NT pages, in sokker international

Think that's about all, probably a few other things I've missed. You still miss players though.

Nice job getting a schedule nailed down already.

I can see why people are worried about strikers. I like Stewart, I really do, but he shouldn't be our best rated striker. (as per NTDB)

yeah the only slight problem with those ranking systems is that there's no minimum requirement for a primary, so you can get a high mark with having only pace,tech and the other skills a midfielder needs.

In saying that though, Alagich is our best U21 striker when you consider striker also. He's still not what I'd like to see U21 standard just yet even though he's my player.

That's why I went through the youth thread looking for prospects I may have missed. I'll be getting around to sending them off probably tomorrow and so that probably means this week we go in with a few weaker U21 strikers, who may still be our strongest because we had a serious drought of striker pulls during the time when most would be U21 now.

kinda demoralising to know that sharpley is our best U20 striker according to the NTDB..

there's probably about 2-3 I've missed in strikers alone so we'll soon find out if they've been receiving training or not. We've got 3 pretty good keepers though :s. Goodwin, Papaluca and Bowen if I can grab the stats off LCC. Most sides seem to be struggling with gk's and rich with strikers, whilst we're the other way.
