I apologize for not arranging a fixture. I had some internet connection issues that covered most of the week (also resulting in using my league side for my friendly), they have been solved now so hopefully everything runs smoothly from here.

I reckon he's just about missed more than he's played over a couple of seasons. Not bothered from a games played point, but from an NT view, his training has been totally compromised!

We take on Switzerland tomorrow and we're all set (and yes, I have taken into consideration player ages though I really don't want to). Lots of new faces in the squad, may or may not stay there over the course of the season once we get some updated players and skills.

McLaren will be a gun. Not sure what to make him yet.

I am really sorry for this mistake from my side. I guess you would have beaten us if we played our U19 / now U20.


for the DACH-Cup ranking the game will of course be counted as victory for your team as it was clearly my fault.

No worries. These things happen from time to time. I almost forgot and I went away for the weekend. Thankfully I remembered otherwise we'd have forfeited with too many ineligible players :).

Apologies for the lack of comments recently. We've had some decent results over the last few weeks and depending on what the result was against Switzerland due to them using their U21's rather than their U20's and us being given the win we may well have won that competition if it went on GD.

We started our U21 WCQ campaign this morning and we took on Paraguay. Haven't seen the game but have checked the result and a 5-1 win is a good start. I think it will be hard pressed to qualify ahead of Brazil or Argentina but we'll try anyway.

You can do it. You never know, they might slip up.

Scratching my head but considering an absolute terrible week where I've had no time at all for preparation for this match against Brazil I can't say I'm terribly disappointed. A 0-0 draw can't even really be argued as being unlucky as when you actually see the game we were probably a little unfortunate not to have actually come away with more than a draw with the 2 missed penalties and all.

You look at the ratings and think we really should have been blown out of the water but I suppose it shows the strength of the tactics we've been using given our squad and the new match engine that things seem to be being played completely differently. That's the sokker I use to enjoy where it was possible to obtain results against stronger sides tactically.

In saying that the Brazil tactic was pretty ordinary and it gave us the edge and I'm now thinking it's a shame we didn't actually take the 3pts.

We're still in contention for qualifying which is extremely scary given our squad relative to everyone else and whilst I still don't expect to qualify, the fact we have a point on the board against Brazil is a handy addition.

0:0 with Brazil, while being the better side, is really impressive considering the user number.

It's nice to have a match engine where tactics actually play a role and where you are rewarded for doing so. At least it appears that way. I will reserve judgement for a few more weeks yet as there is still some fine tuning but so far I'm probably one of the few who think this M.E actually offers something that all other M.E changes since the original haven't had.
