Asunto: S15 - The Australia Cup

Was an interesting game. The tactics were pretty much identical. Tribe controlled much of the play and could have scored twice more when Rudnicki snuck in behind the wingback a couple of times. After PRT's goal against the run of play, either side could have snatched the winner and both teams seemed to tire in extra time.

Unlucky for Tribe, probably deserved to proceed, but PRT did enough to stay in the contest. I just hope that's not how the A-League grand final goes on Saturday.

I was outplayed. Honestly think Tribe was robbed of a final here.

A magical moment from my striker and some sensational play from my goalkeeper was all that my team contributed with in that game.

My wingers Geller and Sujko did nothing. Sujko didn't play probably one decent pass during the whole game (and he's my best passer) and didn't win one head duel. Both poor from the players, but poor by me to not get them more involved.

Next time I play Tribe I most definatly won't play the same formation. They did deserve to win with 3-4 goals.

But of course I'm quite happy to reach the final. Playing Tollygunge won't be easy. When I promoted years ago I beat them, now they have beaten me twice in a row for the a-league.

This is a 50/50 game.

1 shot and 1 goal from TG. Impressive. Was a bit nervous until 2-0 as my strikers just could finish of the chances.

Deserved winner. Bit of a dull final as it was pretty much one way traffic. I thought the real final came last week between naph and yourself.

Gotta say I've got a big advantage playing outside the A-league. I play easier sides in my league a few times (like Colt's just before the final) allowing me to rest more players for the cup. Easier to combine both cup and series. And as long as I have luck on my side on who I face (except Tribe) the small advantage A-league sides have goes away.
