I totally agree with you.
Tough if we asked for a random draw it would probably means all the other nations would have the same I guess... although it "seems" they stop adding newbie in III in England.
Is it worth making a poll to see what the aussies users wants and see if we can get the exception?

I second that....it would be good not knowing if it is going to be high ranked team or low ranked team....and u take each week as it comes...where as now if u win the first 2(or 1) u know u will get a higher ranked team.... e.g. me. :)

For something such as the cup, I strongly doubt any exceptions would be made, I would imagine it would have to be a universal decision and I know from those wanting home games at the larger stadiums a fair few don't want a random draw.

What about a random draw with the game played at the best stadium, ticket income shared. Everybody happy, stadium works get more consideration in this "management" game...

well im with you Minkee i havent really bothered about the cup either. Ive only made the fourth round once..but id like to make it again or go a tad further.
I reckon it should be at the team with the biggest stadium, its better and look at home grounds of bot teams its so pointless!!! but you cant do anything about it casue theres just to many!!!

Not really actually. Under the current system I strongly and will continue to debate why it's pretty vital for the lower side to have the home game. Think about the top Polish sides having 6 extra rounds then our eventual cup winner in TBF for example. Thats 6 extra rounds of 300k+ on top of the extra cash they'd make in the first 7-8 rounds. There's no way teams will catch up and prices will pretty much skyrocket. If you want to be paying 10mill for a trainee alone then it's probably a decent idea. More money to everybody, just means higher prices.

Say you have a bid against people and everyone has $1, the price will be lower than if everyone had $1000 and the chocolate bar was one of the only valuable things to use money on, the price will be higher than before, making you not necessarily better off.

I'm supportive of the current system because it offers variety in who you draw, but not huge disadvantage based solely on the luck of the draw.
It's not fair on the poor sod who draws TBF in round 1 and watches on as the rival teams in the league breeze through to round 5... $$$$.

I do everything I can to proceed in the cup. That often means playing some trainees in league games.

pros and cons... I don't think we'll ever please everybody on that one.

As for trainees in league games, I guess JC might start this sunday since he popped yesterday :)

They could publish the entire draw beforehand, like the tennis, based on seedings.

I don't think it's a problem that a weak team plays against a strong team every week... but the problem for me is that if a weak team beats a strong team, they don't get rewarded with a comparatively easier opponent the next week. (i.e. if a LHS team beats a RHS team, the next week, they are still on the LHS.)

meh, the cup's the cup.... I don't really worry about it.

Although, I did actually change my formation for this round. I think it's the first time in about 4 seasons that I have changed it.

Probably royally screwed it up though.

Well, I definitely shouldn't have posted that I changed my tactics then :D

At least we should get a good crowd.... down 7,000 seats at the moment due to construction, but there's still 39,000 seats under cover left :)

awesome should be a close game and should give me an idea on how good my team is without its key player

Without a keeper for the cup match tonight :). Aim is to prevent my opponent (that's a bot) from getting shots. I do that I'll win comfortably and progress to round 4.
