Asunto: S15 - The Australia Cup

2009-01-28 11:24:28
Without a keeper for the cup match tonight :). Aim is to prevent my opponent (that's a bot) from getting shots. I do that I'll win comfortably and progress to round 4.

lol, didn't think that tactic would work...... might have won if I played normal though.

I figure I'm going to give the tactic editor a try this season (and maybe start watching games), but I need more players with ability. The only two guys that were any good out there for me were Tome and Beauchamp.

I think it's time to stop spending money on upgrading the stadium and start spending it on players.

another Rd3 exit... everything is going to plan :)
Though I could have done without the injury to my new recruit...

Through with a very weak side in a narrow one. Nice.

Got past Gondor 5-3 in a real shoot out....a bit lucky though as GG had their chances. Took a risk at 5-0 up with subbing one of my better defenders with a trainee...GG bang in 2 quick ones & I'm sweating like Ben Cousins giving a sample.

haha, never liked the bastard (Cousins) :P

let me guess, you either support Freo or the more likely case is you were a Judd fan :p.

Pretty happy with my 2-0 win even though it wasn't the best performance I've put in it did the job. Kept them almost shotless so that avoided situations with using a tragic goalkeeper and pounced a couple of goals in the first half to secure the victory, whilst giving training to Kightley,McIlroy,Tekiray,Stathakis and O'Toole.

Into the 4th round, I'm starting to get shaky again ;). Where's the bye for the 5th round because I want it :p.

nah, never liked druggies :P

i'm actually a fan of the bulldogs, despite living in perth :D

I've drawn the top-ranked home team in Aussie Bhoys, who probably aren't all that excited to have drawn me either.... or at least wouldn't be if they still had a human manager :P

a few cracking matches in that list. Real Galah v FCM tigers, Taigum Terriers v Tollygunge, Losers v Team Moose Power. Even Tornado Tigers v Comets will be close if I choose to risk playing 2nd's again. Although it's not round 5 yet so I might be safe another week ;).
2009-01-29 09:12:20
thats lights out for me =P
2009-01-29 09:30:50

2009-01-29 09:44:00
haha dw cometer it wont even be close if you play 2nds I should be exiting this round
2009-01-29 09:47:44
Stranger things have happened before with my 2nds. I expect to win but there's no certainties in this game.

Hmmm...interesting. I host Larikan.

The one advantage of having a crap ranking is I still get a home tie (if there is such thing as home ground advantage in SK?).
2009-01-29 13:11:09
no such thing as home advantage in Sokker yet I'm afraid.
