Asunto: Competition Fights Back

After a semi-successful competition last season the competition takes on a new form, eager to attract more interest from the general community. This competition is unique from anything done before as it has 2 competitions in 1. This comes about as each of the U21 and Senior NT plan on having a competition match using the same competition results.
Basically, this is a tipping comp with a twist.
The basic idea is you tip the scores of the U21 match and Senior match for the same week (well our week not Sokker's week), then get points awarded for accuracy. These points get split into 3 categories:
U21 - counts just the U21 points
Senior - counts just the senior points
Overall - summation of U21 and senior points.
So here's the twist:
Each week you'll be randomly paired against another entrant and will compete against their tips for a few extra bonus points. You won't know who you're paired against until the points are released. In the event of an uneven number of entrants, an extra team known as the "NT management team" will be included. That will consist of Tigermaster tipping for Senior matches and myself tipping U21 matches so we can't dictate the results for our own gain.
These pairings then compete against each other with whoever is closest to the correct result winning the points on offer. The bonus points work for the same 3 categories, so that you get points for U21's, points for Seniors and overall is based on the addition of the two tips compared against the summation of the actual results.
In the event of a 4-3 tip compared against a 3-2 tip when the correct result is 2-1 (for the bonus points, the 3-2 tip wins as it is closer (out by 2 goals, rather than 4). A draw between the sides results in split bonus points. (So 3-2 and 1-0 will draw if the result is 2-1)
Anyway at the end of the competition there will be 3 ladders. An U21, Senior and Overall. The top 14 from each of the U21 and Senior will get a player representing them for that NT's competition match.
Points System
5 points for correct winner + precise scoreline (each game)
3 points for correct winner + correct margin (each game)
1 point for correct winner (each game)
Bonus Points
2 points for winning the U21 challenge tip
2 points for winning the Senior challenge tip
2 points for winning the overall challenge tip
Example
Cometer predicts 3-2 for U21's and 4-2 for Seniors
Tigermaster predicts 4-3 for U21's and 2-1 for Seniors
Results were: 2-1 for U21's and 2-1 for Seniors
Cometer scores 3 points for U21 tip, 3 points for Seniors tip, 2 points for U21 challenge.
Tigermaster scores 3 points for U21 tip, 5 points for Seniors tip, 2 points for Senior challenge, 2 points for Overall challenge (since 6-4 beats 7-4 with 4-2 being the result)
Thus:
U21 Ladder:
Cometer: 5 points
Tigermaster: 3 points
Senior Ladder:
Tigermaster: 7 points
Cometer: 3 points
Overall:
Tigermaster: 12 points (2 from the overall BPs)
Cometer: 8 points
Anyway hope that clarifies things, any questions fire away but we intend to start this week. Meaning tips should be in before the U21 match starts on the Friday.
For the record the competition sides will be both against Ukraine, so that's week 0 for U21's and week 0 for Seniors (Seniors comp game is 6 days before U21's comp game)

Round 1 still open until about 10 sktime tomorrow, remember to tip if you want to enter the competition :).
U21
Australia 4 - 2 Scotland
remember that Tigermaster and my vote get combined, hence why we only tipped on the other's game. Will only be used for the bonus points if required but we can pick up individual points for these tips.
Everyone else should tip for both :).

The pairing could have been done previous to the competition starting via a sign up period. We would have had the chance to see what the pairing are in the advance, this would have offered clarity and time to take the mick... The EPL fantasy league adopts that format.
