Asunto: Competition Fights Back

look when you've had the week I've had there's not much I can do to remind everyone :p. I've been on Sokker about 2-3 times for brief periods. I haven't even thought about our qualifier tomorrow night either yet :p.

Besides which, nobody tipped anyway :p.

So if people want they can still tip the Senior game, there's nothing stopping them, other than bonus points are not going to be issued obviously ;).

planning for 2 more rounds (this week and next week). Top 14 in each category get players, so it's always open.

Ahh crap, there are already 14. Last time i entered 1 round a snuck a player in due to lack of entrants.

yeah, except 14th is only 2 pts ahead in U21 and 5 pts ahead in Seniors. Quite possible to pick up 7pts in both each round.

no faith in qualifying I see :p. This is a tipping competition though and I'd probably tip against us too when comparing the likeliness of actually getting something ;).

Rule #1, never tip your team to win. Especially not important games.

A lesson learned from several years of footy tipping. :P

Yeah I usually follow the same guidelines, although then it's always a "meh" situation as you're then certain of losing at least one of them ;). Nothing worse than losing both, but winning on both counts is an enjoyable experience.

Instead of tipping teams to win, I never "expect" my team to win. Expecting your team to win ends all too often with the side getting thrashed.

Another rule of mine in most sports tipping is never tip a draw. For the amount of points you get awarded for successfully tipping a draw against the probability of a draw occurring just isn't worth it :p. Football(soccer) is perhaps the only exception because draws are frequent.
