The fact we have 24 teams garantees these teams we're at least running the 24-teams format, if we can stretch it to 32 we will go ahead with a 32-teams format...

Anyone that register now will be the first subsitute if we fall short of 32 teams and so on...

Okay, here we go... the draw has been released! There are going to be some very interesting battles in the group stage.

This could certainly be interesting, especially if people take this comp more seriously every season (as far as tactics go).

Also some very good clashes.

Group B:

Looks like there is a split down the group, with the battle between oowie and cometer both of which are, or up until recently trained attackers being a great showdown and throw Wivak in there to represent NZ, these 3 could have great matches.

Then at the other end, Snappa, Matty and Josh should have a good chance of winning against one another...although I do get the feeling Snappa may be stuck in the middle of being beaten by the top three teams, and comfortable winning against the bottom 2.

In Group A vivski vs krayzee in a battle of II.03 will always be good to watch. However, the power league of division II will be challenged by the Premier division in the form of snowy.

Group C has a whole new level of competition to contend with. Naph and myself have had many seasons of competitive matches, some very exciting and some utterly boring, but either way, competitive. Tong will however have a bunch of very nice trainees given the amount of money he is spending on them, so may win the battle of the 2nd XI's. The next three teams manged by regoman, tfoley and sx shows what I would consider the strongest group of 3 low div 2, div 3 teams out of all the groups, and upsets to the 3 big guns could be very likely.

Group D could be a battle of the tactics with Terjeh having by far the strongest team, but Cumlionibus who is currently leader of II.03 could put up a great fight and has been known to knock some quality teams out of the Aus cup before. However I wouldn't be ruling out Minkee from taking the Group D title as his increasing tactical knowledge could knock off either of those teams 2nd XI's. As far as the "bottom" 3 teams, anything could happen. Real Galah has the squad advantage, but hasn't perfected his tactic as yet opening holes for sudyji and Trouto to send men through.

Nice job vivski and Minkee at arranging this cup, and there are some cracker of games in just the group stage

I've been informed my group is apparently Group B instead of A, so all those who joined me incorrectly will need to join into vivskis league. Those of mine who were in my league please join again under the newly created league. So frustrating you can't change a friendly league name without deleting it and restarting. Sorry for any inconveniences. The names that vivski released for teams in my league are still the same just that we're B instead of A

Edit: Oh just edited vivski's post to insert the new league id whilst also switching leagues to avoid further confusion. I'm still confused :p.

A name's a name IMO.

haha yeah, vivski was just trying to make it easier in terms of league creation since I had a league as GrA already in place from last season ;). Anyway, no harm done :p.

If everyone signs up to the appropriate league before Thursday, we can activate the leagues and avoid any mishaps with people accidentally organising friendlies.

Theorically there's none as CNF is filling the gap in GrB.

Nevertheless I invite you two to register for GrA and GrC friendly leagues in case some of us fail to register in time (you'll find the link in the post above; GrB and GrD are full and ready to go)

Naph, Vivski please note these two guys are first reserves, if you need someone sunday night to validate your league please use them.

may as well activate it with Left Footers because after last night's incident TGS is unlikely to be logging on anytime soon, unless they know the procedures to getting their account back. Won't go into too much more detail other than their account was broken into.

If push come to shove you know you can take Left Footers or Crusherpool FC.
As Cometer said, TGS has been hacked...

Viv or Naph if you need to take one team to complete your league, at this point, we wont care who it is outside the reserve list above (I've noticed Crusherpool hasnt registered to any league)... we cant compromise the comp just for one team so don't feel guilty to take any team onboard if the situation is the same on sunday.
