The trash talk
A shocking start from State Cup holders Victoria and TMP, indeed TMP went down 2-1 against long rivals Krayzee C. SLTFATF's loss 4-0 at home to Cumlionibus adding to Victoria's poor start of their campaign.
On the other hand, WA had a stellar start thanks to Tribe (4-0 vs DAU) and Snappa (7-0 vs Baldivis). We can also count on the two teams representing NZ. The Invicibles (3-2 vs Wicked 11) and Left Footers (3-0 vs Canberra) making an impact straight away.

BOOOO!!! I picked up where i left off last season! :(

VERY disappointing start. Had Krayzee in check, then his DEFs took out the heavy tools and clobbered my striker. Two magical through-balls in 2mins and a 1-0 lead became a 1-2 defecit and game over.

Sorry Vics, let the side down this week. Congrats to WA on the impressive start.

That draw between Achmid and Tong could prove decisive considering the strength in that group.

Alagich should be banned from playing as a MID. Too often when I wanted him to take the defenders on he decided nope we'll fire a pass back into midfield. Although in saying that, he set up the winning goal with a fine assist. Was an important win in the context of the competition, got another few crackers over the next fortnight though - Snappa and Dragons.

i have a feeling i will be the bottom feeder for my group this time around...

i thought i would get smashed...but i did alright in the end....the problem is my forwards and wingers dont have enough pace!!

My trainee striker is only excellent and the other one was injured (replaced by a VG striker). I think it helped keeping a low 1/9 goal per shot ratio.
I'm not looking forward the next few games!

Tong's 3-3 draw vs Achmids is somehow noticeable considering the huge 14pts gaps in the marking.
Vivski and I will keep an eye on these marks this season with a view of seting up a penalty system (in the future) when the gap is too great.

atleast u have excel. and VG...one of my strikers is only average...i picked him up for his tech rating...and one of the wingers and a mid are only weak and adeq......but i guess that is why they are in the b team....haha...i think next season i will will be much better...from a B team point of view. :)

I am not really looking forward to any of the games because i know i am going to lose :( .....but atleast i will get good money from the game. :)

Your b team striker is only average and is either 20 or 21 by the look of it...
That's fairly poor in my book, surely you can grab a better one to train on the market.

What are you training? It's just to see if we can help because some bits look odd...

yeah he isn't that flash but i wanted to have someone who hase tech and strik (which he has) and since i am training pace i wasn't to worried about it...esp the fact that he is in my second team. Also i didn't want to spend much money on my b team players.

Plenty of spite in the Tribe vs Tong game. A red card to each team in the first half and a 12 day injury to U21'er Libbesson for us. Horrible efficiency up front (unsurprising with my most potent option getting the red card) saw us convert just 2 of 29 shots.

ouch, ellem, who's playing in place of the injured sharpley, pretty much ripped canberra's defense apart like a hot knife through butter. a bit of a bummer with future U21'er cahill getting injured, but thankfully its only a slight injury, so he'll be ready for next week :)

Kept snappa quiet but couldn't convert up front. Necevski's form frustrating as several times clean through on goal and gets tackled from behind. With higher form I doubt whether snappa would have been able to. Still I didn't lose so a snore war is better than a loss. So long as I win my remaining 3 matches I should be able to win the group.

My trainees got trashed vs Cumlionibus 1st XI...

I'm not very impressed some don't play the game obviously. Although there are no rules in place at the moment Vivski and I are edging towards a penalty system for next season to suppress this kind of scenario.
The benefits would be a generally tighter competition as well as encouraging people to spend some time growing up some talents which could one day benefit our NT. Games also would have less effect on ranking points and supporters' mood.

Just remember, sometimes teams forget to play their 2nds, I've done it at least once in every season I've played
