Haha, I haven't trained any true talents since the golden generation of defs (Kohler, Midtsian & Nesic).
It's true though. My coaches are brill, brill(J), incred, outst & excellent.

assistants don't make that much of a difference for a start at that high end imo and the money you save by not having 4x unearthly makes up for a player every few seasons anyway ;).

Put your sumskill's down Vivski and we can make some proper comparison. I think it makes a big difference having my high level of coaches. I'm training 29 year olds these days and getting good pop rates. Each to their own. You guys can save money on coaches and spend it on buying players, I'll spend mine on coaches and train them :p

Would be interesting to know what the skills were if you took away stamina and keeper. I'd expect it to be much closer, whilst the wage costs won't change. That being said I think my brilliants must be pretty close to magicals anyway.

Realistically on those numbers though, everything else the same I make $1.6m more per season in cash. 3 seasons of that gives me a defender or a midfielder if I pick the right time. Can you be certain that the extra 62 points (which includes a large chunk of stamina and keeper) would give a significant boost to the point of being more beneficial then having an extra player in the squad?

Each to their own, but I'm in a comfortable spot.

I can accept your coaches :) They are at a reasonable level, although what do you use the formidable for? But Vivski's are totally inadequate IMO. He won't ever train a junior to the NT with those coaches these days, because most managers are using brilliant plus. That's a fact. If you don't care about training NT players than that is fine.

I totally accept that going above magical is very hard to justify. My unearthly is a pure vanity purchase (pull) and keep. It was important to me back in the day when I was training Elrich, I just kept them after. I personally think 5xmagical is the way to go.

You can keep your $1.6M. I play friendlies and you don't. That works out to about $1.6M a season :P

Just for reference. I just trained Ataxabal to unearthly passing at the age of 28. It took 11 weeks. Currently at 13 weeks on the way to Divine at 29 years old - I will post when he pops. Vivski - Have you tried training old dues like that? What is the pop rate with your coaches? I'm guessing it flatlines at low levels without the expensive uber coaches at those ages. For the last few seasons, my MIDs have been making big NT sides (Austria, Spain) for the first time at 28/29 year olds and it is all due to those last few pops. My MIDs maintain close to the same value from 26 - 29 basically as there value is increasing from those final big pops at the same speed as the value is dropping due to age. Obviously if you were looking to maximise profit, you sell them at 26/27, but I'm don't have a profit maximisation strategy anymore... I have a maximise first team skill strategy these days, but the high coaches maintains player values. Whether it is enough to cover the extra cost, probably not, but enjoyment from pushing out uber players is the most important thing for me right now.

Thats why your strikers didn't quite make the NT. You should have no problems now if your Youth School comes out of its coma :)
