Tigermaster [del] para Todos
After summing up my options for this season, I have decided to run for the Australian NT

It has always been a goal of mine to run for the Australian NT, and now I believe that I have the experience and capability to run the Australian NT.

First and foremost the plan for this season is to Qualify for the World cup. If elected I will endeavour to do my best and Qualify. I know there will be challenges and hopefully we will get the opportunity to Qualify after so many seasons of just missing out by the skin of our teeth.

My Experience?

3x Seasons in charge of Malaysian NT.
- 1x WCQ Campaign (Finishing 4th in the group - Higher than any other Malaysian NT Manager has achieved. Also being a 5th Ranked team)
- 2x MWC Campaigns (Getting out of the Group Stages both times but losing to a much stronger opponent in the Quarter Finals. Another Malaysian Record.)

1x Season in charge of Australian U21NT
- Achieved 8th ranking position at season end.
- Acheived Number 1 Ranking for Australian U21
- Put Australia U21 into the first Pot for U21WCQ this previous season
- Instrumental in obtaining an online NTDB for the whole of Australia instead of the home DB that Cometer previously used. Allowing for easier updates of players through a click of a button

I have also been involved with the U21 "brains trust" this past season, chipping in wherever possible in the last season. Helping out Vivski and Minkee moreso in the early parts of the season while I was still in Australia, but still did my best to chip in while travelling around Europe.

On a personal note, My team has had its best season to date. Winning both the Australia Cup and the A-League for the very first time. Both were fortunate wins, but have both been a long time coming for the club, and hopefully will be able to continue this run into future seasons.

Hopefully I can continue with the good fortune with my club with the National team and ultimately qualify Australia for the World Cup!

Fantastic to see more than 1 (realistic) candidate. Very healthy for Australian sokker I think. Both are fantastic managers so we can't really go wrong.

Personally, I think it would be nice to see 3 or 4 experienced managers go for NT manager every year. Its a bit of extra excitement for the season.

I totally agree with that! =) Im looking forward to this election... At least I know im not going to be abused (or am i?) by Australian users like I was in Malaysia.

At least I have to write an Election speech this season :P Unlike last time for the U21's =)

Anyway its time for a Change in Australia =P Cometer has been in the job too long =)

Any Questions just ask

This just ruins everything when it comes to the U21.

Now I actually have to think twice about who to vote on for the National side, but have no real options for the U21 :(

No doubt options will become available, they always do

Hopefully you will grab this opportunity for eternal fame with both hands! :)

Previous to the election the only question mark was TM...
now he made his intentions clear we're only waiting on Vivski to seek re-election with the U21.

That's it unless Ach changes his mind...
or Cometer withdraws and goes for U21 instead...
Hopefully we'll stick together at the end of the day.

Why don't run for the U21 yourself? I can't think of a better choice :-)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, you've always been there for a bit of wind in my sails.

Unfortunately U21's just came a little too late for me. It would have suited me to a tee back in the days of our great rivalries, especially with the diverse range of skills we had back then (and the ME) where I believe the tactic played a much greater part in the game.

Now I struggle to keep up with my own team, let alone one of the national sides. Although, if a game comes up where I don't believe those in charge can win it alone (or get the desired result) I will jump in. Other than that, I just monitor the brains-trust forums making sure noone says anything to ludicrous

Do you believe you will do a better job in the upcoming season than cometer would?

What can I say to that one? It is a very tough question there, all I can say is that I will do my best to qualify us for the world cup. Tactically - Cometer certainly has the experience, but I am certainly not just say that I do not... Cometer does know the squad alot better, but maybe it is time for someone new to try and do something with the squad that Cometer has not been able to do. We have both started this game at the same time - Cometer with the initial success and now my Club getting to the top of Australia. I dont doubt for a second that either of us will do a great job - hopefully qualifying us for the world cup is the Major goal. It is really hard to compare myself to Cometer as we both had the experience in Managing National squads and everyone has had the chance to see what we both can do. Cometer with Australia and Myself with Malaysia and in the first season of U21NT's.

I'd like to say I would do a better job, but i cant say I would do a better job, or a worse job for that matter. The main thing is we need to qualify for the World Cup and whoever gets the job will be aiming to do so

Possibility to win A-League? ;P

Haha yeah that too - Havent made that point on purpose. Dont want to have a campaign where I have to slander to win... Dont need it in this community

Any plans in the next 3 months that might interrupt the preparation for WCQ games?
2009-08-26 14:48:38
Not currently. Had to check dates first, but my 21st is the weekend after the 2nd Belgium game, so am in the clear for the WCQ games. Trying to plan a trip over to Perth for a week/end but will take my laptop so it shouldnt be too much of a drama to set tactics etc
