Asunto: S18 - Australia Cup

Our first of the 3 teams, came across a massively strong team in The Black Flashes.
Really they never stood a chance, and the 49-0 shot count handed out just showed this.
They didnt use their star player from their last game, but by the looks of things, their whole team is now better than their previous best was.

So our first big name has appeared in the following.

Acazza managed to get a much easier team then Jigg, but still went down 2-3 in a close match to dudu_luo. Goodwin and Pottier managed to do all the damage with 3 assists and 3 goals respectively.

The final team Shoneel came up against Fenerbahçe_FC coached by Sinn3r. It was a very one sided match with Sinn3r having learnt how to use the tactic editor, and was a deserved winner with an 8-0 victory

ouch. 19 shots and you still couldn't put one in the back of the net. Just a little roughly treated by the match engine. I'm sure most of us have had some strange results like that in the past. Hope you have better luck for your next match.

Finally prioritised adapting the "Cup" formation I've had for a while for the use of "Merciless bot-killing". It is still far too merciful. I'm playing too wide and not high enough up the pitch with the back 2 lines. Now that I appear to have picked up a flu of some kind I should have time to make some corrections to tactic that saw us convert 20 of 52 shots (1 OG) against One Touch.

Still, the 21-0 scoreline was good enough that we didn't lose any supporter mood, which is a good thing as the supp's were pretty unhappy and down to just "believing in their club" after the pasting Frogs gave us on the weekend.

Damn, I'm in the bottom half now... I pray for an easy game.

Me too. That is why I covert a top 32 ranking. Hopefully I win a couple of friendlies this season and can make it for next time. At least my spiffy new stadium looks like it will be ready for a massive home game next round (jinx). Its not so bad going out of the cup early. I can then start training my 1st's keeper in passing standing in a far away corner of the field guarded by my best defenders.

Now isn't this pairing a blast from the past...

This will be an interesting game. The first competitive game between us, I think. Both of us started around the same time, and have progressed pretty well.

TMP have a very solid back 5... I wonder how I can get around them.

Awesome! Dream draw for me. Minkee will definately have the edge skill wise, but I think we will have similar enough skilled 2nd teams so that tactics will play a significant role. I know minkee is pretty good with tactics and I'm starting to rate my skills now, so it will be a good test to see how far (or short) I've come.

this might be the first time i get past the 3rd round since my first season! :D

All I will say is I want the team to be in the 4th round... and keep the 6 games unbeaten record the Minkees have against SF :)
