trouto [del] para Todos
demoted, and taking a massive financial hit, the Lads are finding themselves doing a bit of spring cleaning...gone is their best coach, and assessments will be made shortly to trim the squad's wage bill....

bah, damn money, anyone spot me a couple million??
2009-09-14 07:30:38
Be grateful all your foreign players don't earn a 20% bonus :P

Are you losing money each fortnight?
2009-09-14 09:11:14
do foreign players get 20% extra?
2009-09-14 09:21:33
no :). Snowy was just teasing hence the ":p".

All players are treated the same way and wages are based on skills at the start of the season.

Unlike the oHTer game, IIRC. Am I right? Hmm?
2009-09-14 09:55:20
Do people even still play that oHTer game? I'd already bailed and was a farm team for Oceania before I found Sokker.
2009-09-14 10:03:22
Apparently 912,000 people do - they can't seem to break that 1m mark. Wonder why.. ;P

I was still playing it when I joined Sokker! Sokker was just a piece on the side back then though.

Stayed promoted, getting almost 20 fans a week, almost making a weekly profit again counting friendlies and my home league games pull in $400k each no matter what the weather. Just about to have $1 million in the bank for the 3rd time in my sokker career, but this time I plan to spend it on a player. Life is good!

Being demoted is a tough gig.

Another 15 of my bandwagon A-League fans out the door. They'll be back. ;)
2009-09-15 03:44:00
lol, yeah losing money hard....before my "trimmings" was losing 100k WITH a home game!

Uber
Wait until you have 10 mill in the bank.....& try to spend it. Everytime I see a player I feel is a prospect at that level, the bids keep heading up beyond the 10 mill mark!! To the point I'm seriously considering keeping the dosh & trying to build more profit....& keep my first team thin for now. With Cometer in the league it's probably not a bad decision, rather than trying to improve & finish 2nd at best.
2009-09-15 15:54:02
*sigh* more stadium?!?!?
2009-09-15 15:57:08
10mill goes nowhere these days. Probably the equivalent of uber having 1mill. Good thing I suppose is that it usually is sufficient for trainee recruitment and defender purchasing.
2009-09-15 18:12:00
yep, kind off what I was alluding to....the more you look at/for quality the harder it is to nail....moreso if you're not one for being held to ransom over transfers.
2009-09-19 07:32:09
i got an impossible league game coming up against Elman FC. The way i see it i got 2 options forfeit and train stamina or experiment with some crazy tactic and take the 15-0 thrashing.
2009-09-19 09:02:07
I'd use it as a chance to work out what does and doesn't work defensively against a stronger team.
Make sure you backline is tight, there's plenty of traffic and use the wings to soak up some time.

Every game is good experience, whether you're trying to pile on the goals or keep out a team of champs. Part of the game.
