Greetings.
I am applying for the Australian NT position for the new season.
This is the first time I have made myself a candidate, so I have no past experience as a national team coach to speak about.
I have been playing Sokker for two full seasons, and my greatest achievement in my time here has been to come first in my division. Something I am sure that most of you reading this have all done by now.
If I do become the NT coach I can tell you, that you will have my full attention. I will make myself available in the forums, and I will do my best to answer all your questions by mail, or by forum. I have a lot of spare time on my hands for this coming season, so I will be online all day trying my best to learn the job as quickly as I can if I get voted in.
Being the national coach of Australia is something I would take seriously, and I want you to know that I would not be applying for the top job if I didn't think I was competent enough. I believe in my abilities, and I do believe that I could do a lot better with a much faster, and more talented team like the Australian NT, as opposed to what my own team is made up of.
All questions are most welcome.

Given that the team pretty much sorts itself out at this level - and being a good scout/organiser doesn't require much experience - the most challenging part of the role will also be the most important... tactics.
You look to have a good tactic which is working for you in your league. But you missed an opportunity last week to really come up with something a little different, a little special to give Civilwar a run for their money.
You probably need to experiment more with the tactics to get some more experience.
Are you comfortable making custom tactics for specific opponents?
Good luck with your campaign. I'm sure you'll do well and learn a lot if elected.

I did have an opportunity last week against Civil War, and the better team won. It was nice to have the opportunity to become a 2nd division team, but I would have been very surprised to beat a team who invests in good players.
I did not expect to win to be honest with you. I have not spent more than 5 dollars on the transfer market since I started playing, and because of that I didn't feel that I was ready to be promoted into div II with a group of players I inherited when I first registered with Sokker. Div III is the best my team has ever done in all it's history, since 2007. I expect things to change for me once I start purchasing players.
Tactics I believe is what makes all the difference in a game like this, and it is an area that I could improve on. I am comfortable setting tactics, and I will spend a lot of time studying my opponents week, by week on a national level trying to get the tactics right. But I can not say for sure that our opponents will use the same tactics as the week before.
I have created a few tactics, and modified them some as well, but I personally wasn't going to start studying tactics until next season when I started buying players on the market. That's when I was going to start getting serious about getting promoted.
But I think I should start concentrating on tactics now if I want the NT to improve its position on the leaderboard.
I do strongly believe that Australia has better managers who would make a better NT coach than myself, and I was waiting for them to put in their candidacy for the title, but no Australian has yet, and so I had not voted for anyone.

yeah, I noticed a lack of Aussie candidates for the NT positions.....& sick of being spammed by those who have applied from o/s.
very tempted to keep a list & let the devs know who they are.

I think Tigermaster was doing a great job.
From what I hear most, if not all of our A-League managers are busy with real life this sokker season coming, and they are not in the best position to be the NT coach. That is why they are not running for the job this season.
So it is a good time for our Div II managers to step up. There is still about ten days left to vote, and hardly any of our people have voted, so there is still time for them to launch their campaign.

if you're getting spammed, let myself or minkee know via skmail with the message in it and we can do something about it :).
I am withdrawing from the election some time tonight.
After weighing up the pro's, and con's with one of our better managers, I can now see that the best thing for me to do is to sit back for at least a few more seasons, and try to learn as much as I can about this game in that time.
I realise that it does not look good for me to withdraw, and you might not vote for me if I ever decide to volunteer for the NT position again, and I apologise to all the people who voted for me, and believed in me as much as I did in myself.
Good Luck to all the candidates, may the best man/woman win, and I'll see you on the battlefield ;)

Hey blagoja, that's a noble and wise decision.
You'll have my vote in 2-3 seasons after you've gained a little more experience. You have many of the qualities which will make you a great NT manager in future. Just need to add a few more scalps to the collection first.
Keep your powder dry for when the time is right. :)
