Xmas being the festive period that we all know, time was spent getting the tactic and line-up right previous to our first game with the support of the ever so contributing staff.
As a result I didnt find time to involve the rest of you before now so now is the chance to correct this.
We have been drawn into Group I for the WCQ campaign. Despite what some might think this group is fairly level and every points will count towards finishing in the top2.
Today we played the n1 seed and managed a draw at home in a pretty even game where both sides dominated one half of the game. There were some good aspects and some bad ones in that game while it would have been good to start with the 3pts, I'm happy with the point of the draw as I'm not sure many teams will manage better than that against Bosna i Hercegovina.
R1 results:
Australia 1-1 Bosna i Hercegovina
Singapore 2-1 Slovenija
Crna Gora 2-5 El Salvador
Standings: Group I
We might start a tipping comp from next week... more to follow...

Wow thats an interesting result with Singapore knocking over Slovenija! Cant say I really expected that one! Good result against BiH however - its a nice start to the new qualifying season =)
Yeah that's a result I didnt expect either... not sure it's beneficial or not, we'll know later.
A point against BiH is good considering their standing, I hope we can do better next time we play them though.
Anyway, we're all set for the game against El Salvador, kick off is actually around 2.29am SK time which means a nice 11.30am Qld time tomorrow morning.
Despite sharing the pacific ocean with this lovely little country I hope the boys will be selfish enough to not share the points with them this time and take the 3pts.

Nice start, I'll watch the game later. Reading so many posts is crazy.
The main objective being ticked, the lucky manager who will lead the Joeys during the WC will also have to register or not for the [U21] Asian Cup next season.
We have been invited to participate and I have replied that this would be the task of the new U21 manager to accept or not. More details are available on Sokker International.
