Asunto: NT Fantasy Football

First up, I stole this idea from Cometer who in turn nicked it from Seca.

So sorry and thanks guys :)

Here's the idea

You pick a team from a list of NT players, some of which are posted at the bottom of this post and points are scored according to how they perform.

Prizes

To keep your attention I'll discuss prizes first :)

To the overall winner I'll donate 3 months plus, plus the opportunity to play one of your players in a NT friendly at the end of the season, any player, the choice will be yours, the only criteria is that he is Australian! The chosen match will be week 15's encounter v New Zealand.

A runners up prize of 2 months plus will also be on offer.

Rules

All matches between week 3 and week 14 inclusive will count for scoring purposes with the exception of our match v Latvia in week 12 which will be an U24 match.
All entries must be posted in this thread, please dont edit posts just re-post if there is anything that you wish to change.
Once your team starts scoring points you can not change your line up.
Only one entry per person
Entrants can enter at anytime but will only start scoring in the NT match following their entry.
In the event of a tie, the first person to post will be deemed the winner.
This competition is open to all but prizes will only be given to teams which include at least one Australian Player.

Formation

You can pick any formation which is legally recognised this does not include 4-2-4

Scoring Points

Everyone

3 points per cap
5 bonus points for 3 assists per match
5 point bonus per hat trick scored
10 points will be awarded to the motm, this will go to the individual with the highest points score per match according to the game rules, not to be confused with the match ratings which are given. In the event of a tie the points will be shared equally.
-2 points per yellow card
-5 points per red card

Keeper and Defence

10 points per clean sheet
10 points per penalty save ( opponents missing or scoring on rebound counts as save)
10 points per goal scored
5 points per assist
-1 per goal conceded

Mids

7 points per goal scored
3 points per asssist

Strikers

5 points per goal scored.
3 points per assist

Like I say, If you want to include any player(s) not on the above list then feel free as anyone could make the breakthrough at any time given certain circumstances.

Competition starts this coming Saturday with our opening match in the mini wc, opponent still unknown but should be sorted by Sunday evening sk time.

Lastly, I have run the competition before and if anybody is interested in seeing how it panned out or looking for formation tips etc then do a forum search for NT Scotland and you'll find the relevant thread in there on the first page.

not gonna have a salary cap?

No, no salary cap. Just 11 players in any accepted sokker formation will do.

It doesn't always pay to pick the 11 most expensive etc and if people pick the same team that should go on to win the competion then the first to enter on this thread would .be deemed the winner so no point in having the same team as anybody else.

I should mention of course, now that we have been let down for round 1 of the mini wc, the competition will now start next week with our mini wc match against Costa Rica. Sorry about that but at least you all have some time to study6 the form :)

so you can only have 1 team of 11 players, and you cant change them once you've gained points with your team? and no subs?

Once a team has been picked I'll update the players scores each week and post both the players individual score and the total points gained per team per entrant.

The thinking is that people just have to post the once with their team and then forget about it if they wish :)

The more involved it gets the more people are likely to drop out imo. Keeping it simple helps me too :)

I'll send in a team in the next day or two since it starts next Saturday now :).

so does a player score points for you if he plays out of position....eg. I pick the incomparable Joe Bloggs in midfield but he plays as a striker in a game....do I still get the points.

& might be an idea to include the "dodgy Comet's" team at cut off time...just for transparency sake. :-)
