Cometer is easy to win. I beat him several times with NT, I lost the count how many times though:)

snowy couldn't beat me with his 1st XI against my 2nd XI. I proved that a few seasons ago by winning 6-0.

You're a different kettle of fish :p. You beat me twice with the NT both times by 1 goal, so it wasn't as if you beat me easily ;).

Uh huh, I can take out 2-3 first XI players and call it my second XI. It's a subjective term ;)

Well I'm my own worst enemy. Failed to buy a defender off the TL due to forgetting about the whole issue and now I'm down to 3 defenders. Makes decision time difficult.

I got lucky with where I positioned O'Donoghue in the back row. After that it was always just a case of how well I would convert. I'll settle for a 3-1 win but it could have been higher but could have also gone sour. So all in all probably a pretty reasonable result. Having Aktimuroglu SI made things challenging but at least it wasn't a full injury because I had nothing to come on and replace him with.

Macallister probably deserves man of the match for that performance. Effectively set up all 3 goals that were scored, grabbed 2 assists in the process, fired off a quick pass to set Paredes off down the wing for his assist and a number of balls created shots at goal.

Very good effort Minkee and congratulations on getting this far in the cup. Sorry your run ended today but I'm sure you'll be back again next season ;).


Really disappointed Snappa didn't manage to beat TBF though as I can almost put my money down on a Comets v TMP semi final again which is exactly what I don't want. Pretty rare for semis with the "random draw" to end up 1v4, 2v3 but it's certainly what I'm hoping to have happen.

Either way if I manage to draw Frogmeisters it will be challenging enough in itself since I'm sure TM would use his 1st XI against me given his easy league games and he's still got the majority of his squad from last season available at his disposal.

We'll wait and see what happens but I'm in with a shot now of making my 3rd consecutive cup final which would be my best ever run of cup finishes.

We live to fight another week in the Cup! Without Ponce the new signing playing and Gmyrek all but sold. We have some promise now coming through the ranks.

I think it is a fair result... I think Ubertalli should have scored another one given he had 2 or 3 one on one but overall it's fine. We got what we deserved even if it looked like we were going to level the score just after half-time.

I probably played too defensive but I was hoping for through balls and for some reasons players were static and it didnt materialise too often. I think I gave you too much respect and should have put a bit more emphasis on my midfield.
My team level of passing needs adjusting but over the last 2 games I'd say I surprised myself.

I wasnt expecting to go to the quarters so I'm happy with my run in the cup this season, I've had the chance to play 2 60+ rating teams in a row and realised that the gap is not so big in the end.
I even allow myself to think I might have gone one further if I hadnt drawn you this round after a game like tonight.
I'm definately looking at getting in the AL at the end of this season.

oh... and fan mood is still right up there :)
and almost 300k from ticket income!

Really excited to be in the semis again. Cometer, you're not the only one who's dreading a Comets vs TMP draw. I'd much prefer to meet you in the Final.

Commiserations Minkee. You're right, with a different draw, you could've been in the final 4. Next season.

And Josh, your giant-killing run finally comes to an end. Impressive job. Well done.

ah ah... every time we openly say we don't want a certain draw this season Sokker punishes us!

I got 60k for reaching the 1/4s, that's nice.
I also noted that the 2 biggest attendance in the cup this season so far were my last 2 games :)

Except I was 95% certain I'd get it based on previous seasons of cup draws. Very rarely is it 1 v 4 and 2 v 3. For whatever reason it they like flipping that left hand side which then causes it to be 1 v 3 and 2 v 4.

Unfortunately it then means we can't get the best possible final, as without trying to be biased, the two best teams left in the cup are playing each other.

Sure are, TBF vs Frogs will be a massive game ;)
